  1. Permanent nights here too, and while I don't drink when I come home as a rule there have been very occasional, stressful nightshifts when I've come home and had a drink if there's been an open bottle of wine in the fridge. As you say, it feels like your night-time and I tend to turn things around (will eat breakfast when I get up on an afternoon and have a main meal at 2am etc) so why the hell not! Just don't open the door to anyone with a can/wine glass in your hand cos it looks bad
  2. Pack it in the pair of you or else you're grounded!
  3. Don't beat yourself up. It's all part of growing up and it won't be the last time you get in such a state.
  4. It doesn't feel like a Saturday. Plus, I should be at work, but I'm actually on the sick - I don't do that very often
  5. A mod on here and admin over there. I'm obviously just a universal areselicker!
  6. Not Hobbies, man. Hobbes. As in Calvin and Hobbes. EDIT Chez beat me to it.
  7. Aye, but what side of the river are you standing on, eh?
  8. No, it looks weird because it's luminous green!
  9. You definitely need more fibre - especially insoluble fibre which helps to keep your bowel healthy. Bran, wholemeal bread, brown rice plus plenty fruit and veg. If you keep straining like that when you need a shit you're going to end up with piles. Plus, you shouldn't be shitting 3 times a day so it could be a chronic constipation that you've got. Drink plenty fluids too (not fizzy)

    Cooking

I honestly never use jars of pasta sauces. It's really so easy to chuck tomatoes/puree/onions/basil/garlic/mushrooms together and make your own. I've just had cheese on toast. Toast was a frankly ridiculous choice given the state of my tonsils today.
  11. I've got tonsillitis again (had it over Christmas too) Every time I swallow I feel like someone is shoving a knitting needle down my right ear. Feeling properly sorry for myself!
  12. Precisely and such a shock when you discover this. Having a son is like having a dog who can recite comedy sketches, having a daughter is to enter a bizarre and terrifying world of emotional manipulation and madness I'm not laughing. I am!
  13. They were looking for Samuel L Jackson tbh
  14. Sammy - we've spoken about this already but I'm completely in awe of what you've done for those gorgeous boys. I know they're family but you've done an amazing thing and they'll grow up to be better people because of you. Parky - she's unhappy enough to be crying and noticeably down about the situation. Surely you should make the school aware of what she's told you so that someone can look out for her when you can't? Personally I couldn't 'do nothing' and hope it resolves itself - I'd be too angry and upset to think that some little shit was making my bairn cry

There are a few little travel outlets around Circular Quay where you can book a day trip to the Blue Mountains at reasonable prices. The one I did also went to a wildlife reserve on the way and we stopped to do some boomerang chucking and have a picnic. It might work out cheaper than having it incorporated into the holiday. Oh and make sure you watch Wolf Creek before you go cos it's dead reassuring

    Slaley Hall

Now it's not midds' fault I know Midds is thoroughbred geordie. You can't help it if you're forced away from your motherland at an early age. People from Seaham are slightly better than mackem townies anyway in my experience, I used to work with this kid from Seaham though he was a actually a canny lad, the Seaham Ferret I used to call him cos he looked like one. He was born with his aorta the wrong way round though, and last I heard he was in a wheelchair. That's sad, but the Seaham Ferret thing made me laugh

  20. The dressing up in the bedroom is some serious stuff in your boudoir, cat! I don't think it's what midds expected when he asked for a nurses outfit
