  1. Love that he did it in an Irish accent
  2. He's only announced it as several media outlets were about to expose him. Vile individual.
  3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34853657 Siege ongoing in Paris. Just watching on the news - must be terrifying to live in the vicinity as this is ongoing. Passer-by killed, female suicide bomber and another suspect taken out by a sniper.
  4. I don't know how anyone starts to make sense of it. It must feel surreal and unreal in a way. I think of any Friday night I've spent in Newcastle - on a night where 2 suicide bombers detonate outside a packed SJP whilst more open fire at a nearby restaurant and more storm into a packed City Hall and randomly massacre a huge amount of innocents enjoying a gig at the end of the working week. Where do you even start to comprehend this? Our thoughts are with you all - I don't know what else to say.
  5. Chez, how are things? Not from a political point of view but as someone who lives in the city?
  6. I just came back to post that myself, and yet can't find the words to explain how it made me feel.
  7. Reuters reporting there are heavily armed police surrounding the Pullman hotel in Paris and the Eiffel tower area is presently being evacuated. Hopefully this is all precautionary.
  8. He was frisked and they found he was wearing an explosives vest. As he was backing away from security, he detonated it. http://www.wsj.com/articles/attacker-tried-to-enter-paris-stadium-but-was-turned-away-1447520571
  9. Reports of 100 dead within the concert hall, suggestion that the terrorists threw grenades into the hostages. This is unbearable.
  10. Stay safe. Hope your sister-in-law gets home soon.
  11. This is horrific. Are you at home Chez?
  12. Don't be daft! Mine is a front-loader cos I'm all technologically amazing and that (I TiVo'd it )
  13. Taped it cos I was working, but looking forward to it
  14. I know, I just can't get the night off work. Bought my bro Dylan Moran tickets for March too but can't go to that myself either. Ed Byrne on my birthday though, so that's some consolation.
  15. Anyone with little people who like The Snowman might be interested in this.. http://www.sagegateshead.com/tour-dates/the-snowman Just booked a couple of tickets myself. The bairn doesn't break up from school til the 22nd so it'll get us in the festive spirit.
  16. Bit of a long shot but I've got 2 tickets for Jason Byrne at the Gala theatre in Durham for this Saturday going begging if anyone wants them.
  17. I let my dad in earlier but only because he brought some milk and a heat pack thing. That'll have to do for today, but thanks Parky.
