  1. Really? In my line of work I've encountered many arseholes, but rarely one as perfectly formed as you.
  2. We've been to see that, as well as Room on the Broom - All brilliantly done and the bairn loved it. Children should go to the theatre more often. As should grown-ups come to think of it.
  3. Very random but I woke up at 6.15 this morning and it was getting light. Roll on Spring - I'm sure winter leaves me with a bit of SAD.
  4. I'm sure she was delighted No posh handbags unfortunately. Waiting for Mr Right to turn up on my doorstep with one! Pretty low-key on the presents this year including a steam mop from my parents, some nice pretty things from the bairn courtesy of his dad, smellies from Lush and lots of wine.
  5. Thanks MT! (btw, I fixed your post. You made a teeny spelling mistake )
  6. Dear gawd, that really is hideous!
  7. Good morning chaps, and thank you. Today will not involve Lilliput Lane figures or men with moobs!
  8. I've just seen this The Toon won, I'm off out with the girls and my mam has got the bairn so I get a lie-in and no school run in the morning. My mood is good

Hope you have a better birthday than Andrew did! xx
  10. Moved to Manchester for Uni aged 19. Lived in the nurses home for 3 years then rented a house with my then boyfriend after I qualified. We bought a house 6 months before we got married which he subsequently bought me out of when we split up 5 years later, although it took him about 2 yrs to get round to sorting the finances out. As much as I love my parents, I've managed to avoid moving back in with them at any point despite having to move out of 2 houses/relationships with next to nothing.
  11. It's like an oven in here and they appear to have no concept of temperature control. Or it may be the wine.
  12. Nah, still got a bottle unopened but as the kids were begging to go to bed we thought it would be poor form to open it...
  13. There appears to be some kind of haunted-ghost-tour-of-Edinburgh-after-dark going on in the street below my open hotel window. If they don't shut the fuck up then they'll be getting an unexpected ghostly black boot landing on them from a great height.
  14. The sun is shining, heading up to Edinburgh for a couple of days with my own little Harry Potter and we've got a picnic packed for the train (mainly crisps) Gotta love half term
  15. I know. I may be attending aforementioned gig
  16. They're not the Beautiful South without Paul Heaton. (Who incidentally is at the Tyne Theatre in May)
  17. I trust you'll be going to see this CT.. http://www.atgtickets.com/shows/the-meatloaf-story/sunderland-empire/

2 weeks?? They're fleecing you for labour there mind! Mine took about 4 days and that included relaying the floor, plastering, tiling and fitting it.
  19. Don't worry, I'll start my own thread...
  20. Have been in a fairly foul mood for various reasons for the last week or so. Have had a word with myself and decided to arrange myself a birthday night out next weekend as no-one else is going to!
  21. Great choice. That's Joseph's middle name
  22. Amazing news - many congratulations to you all. Has he got a name yet?
