I've just seen this The Toon won, I'm off out with the girls and my mam has got the bairn so I get a lie-in and no school run in the morning. My mood is good

Moved to Manchester for Uni aged 19. Lived in the nurses home for 3 years then rented a house with my then boyfriend after I qualified. We bought a house 6 months before we got married which he subsequently bought me out of when we split up 5 years later, although it took him about 2 yrs to get round to sorting the finances out. As much as I love my parents, I've managed to avoid moving back in with them at any point despite having to move out of 2 houses/relationships with next to nothing.

It's like an oven in here and they appear to have no concept of temperature control. Or it may be the wine.

Nah, still got a bottle unopened but as the kids were begging to go to bed we thought it would be poor form to open it...

There appears to be some kind of haunted-ghost-tour-of-Edinburgh-after-dark going on in the street below my open hotel window. If they don't shut the fuck up then they'll be getting an unexpected ghostly black boot landing on them from a great height.

The sun is shining, heading up to Edinburgh for a couple of days with my own little Harry Potter and we've got a picnic packed for the train (mainly crisps) Gotta love half term

2 weeks?? They're fleecing you for labour there mind! Mine took about 4 days and that included relaying the floor, plastering, tiling and fitting it.
