  1. Apparently you did...but funnily enough only when someone else posted it as supposedly their own thoughts.
  2. But that really has to be considered alongside everything else you do.
  3. It clearly was your point, otherwise you wouldn't have dragged this nonsense out so long......
  4. Don't call me a liar Alex, not unless you're able to prove me wrong. That is precisely the sort of dishonorable cuntish behaviour that typifies the average NO poster. People can easily go look if they don't believe me.
  5. Duff left a team he got relegated for another Premier League team. Martins left a team he got relegated to join the Bundesliga Champions. I have no idea if their contract terms were worse or you're just lying, but watching you try to spin those two outcomes as examples of performance penalties was worth the entrance fee alone.
  6. No, I had the audacity to say that Pardew was the best coach NUFC could hope fur under the Ashley regime. I also suggested that if the same people behind SackPardew were also the ones setting up AO.com, then it probably wouldn't come up with any stellar ideas. That was enough for a few of the knuckle draggers on the forum to absolutely lose their shit and accuse me of being a mackem troll, and whoever runs the forum decided it was better for the groupthink ambience of the place to just kick me off rather than allow me to fight my corner. The ringleader was some asshole calling himself WallsendMag, which is ironic, as he would have to catch a bus into Newcastle if he had the balls to say to me IRL what he was so brave enough to do on NO. As far as I remember, I was never actually on the forum long enough to even start a thread (as they remind you about a billion times in the signup process, you have to post 100 times before you get that privelage).
  7. I wouldn't normally give a shit, but it's the only football on this summer (albeit exclusive to BT Sport apparently). The 27-man provisional England squad was announced today. Unsurprisingly, no NUFC players in it. Is that a first? England group stage: 18 Jun - Portugal, 21 Jun - Sweden, 24 Jun - Italy Goalkeepers Marcus Bettinelli (Fulham) Jonathan Bond (Watford) Jack Butland (Stoke City) Defenders Calum Chambers (Arsenal) Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur) Luke Garbutt (Everton) Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough) Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal, on loan at West Ham United) Michael Keane (Burnley) Liam Moore (Leicester City) John Stones (Everton) Matt Targett (Southampton) Midfielders Tom Carroll (Tottenham Hotspur, on loan at Swansea City) Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea) Will Hughes (Derby County) Jake Forster-Caskey (Brighton & Hove Albion) Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea) Alex Pritchard (Tottenham Hotspur) Nathan Redmond (Norwich City) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) Forwards Benik Afobe (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Patrick Bamford (Chelsea, on loan at Middlesbrough) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion) Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) Danny Ings (Burnley) Cauley Woodrow (Fulham)
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32740523 US Police have an implicit bias against blacks, being more likely to shoot unarmed black men than whites. And they spend 60 hours of training on deadly force, 60 hours on self-defence, and just 8 hours on conflict resolution.
  9. Like I said, Newcastle Online grade muppetry this. If I am a mackem, then obviously I'm the most intelligent and most knowledgeable of them all. If anything, I'm flattered.
  10. OK guys, you're starting to sound like Newcastle Online grade muppets now. I thought we had already established that I'm the ideas guy, I leave the petty bureaucracy to others.
  11. Selling Carroll for what we did was a no brainer. Even the best run club in the world would have snapped Liverpool's hand off.
  12. No, Edgar was here in the hobby years. It's only since relegation that Ashley went frugal on us.
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32787590 Sorry like, but as we approach nearly a decade of Ashley ownership and stare at the prospect of a second relegation under the fat twat, I am jealous as fuck of this lot. After just 10 years and still with crowds of just 2k, these fuckers now have a fan owned and community focussed football club which is just two promotions away from the Football League, and they're just about to open their own fully owned Football League standard stadium. All it took for them to get off their arses was rising ticket prices and being told to sit down, which is nothing compared to the shit that fans of our club have meekly accepted as the price to pay to watch infinitely worse football and win nothing. Whatever the fuck it is NUST or AO.com or any of the other current protest groups think they're achieving, they need to stop immediately, and do whatever it is this lot did to get this club off the ground. I for one would switch allegiance to FCUN in a heartbeat, and be the first on the season ticket waiting list.
  14. Carver looks like he's having one of those farts that suddenly turns into a ring-stinger. I'm not buying that's really Williamson though, looks far too dynamic.
  15. So, while schooling Fish about the realities of football, I was reminded of one David Edgar.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Edgar_(footballer) Signed to our academy age 14, he made his debut in December 2006. After just 19 Premier League appearances and being managed by Roeder, Allardyce, Keegan, Hughton (2 caretaker spells), Kinnear and finally Shearer, he left at the end of the 2008/9 relegation season, declining to sign a new contract. He has since bounced around Championship clubs, with spells at Burnley, Swansea, Birmingham and Huddersfield. Now 28, other than 28 appearances and 2 goals for Canada, his career highlight would appear to be only being a regular for one full season with Burnley. He doesn't appear to have been injury afflicted, so you have to wonder if he might have done better in football if we had given him the opportunity of playing in a stable team with a long term manager. He may well have just not been good enough, but the fact we offered him another contract doesn't appear to suggest so. And as I said in the deconstruction thread, we didn't even really make any financial return on him - we got £300k fee, which I doubt even covered his 3 years of senior wages.
  16. Finally a free replay - tonight on SS1, right after the Arsenal Sunderland game.
  17. Meanwhile, tonight, in the continuing joke that is Scottish professional football, the mighty Rangers approach the third of a total of 6 games they must win to get back into the top flight. Having defeated Queen of the South over two legs, they now face the mighty Hibernian, Scotland's fourth biggest club, who will be wanting to emulate their fierce rivals Hearts in executing a swift return to the Premiership. The winner must prevail in a two-legged tie, and then must also defeat the Motherwell in another two legged tie. All this drama is available live for your entertainment tonight, should you: a) have BT Sport, and not want to watch Arsenal thump Sunderland on Sky, and c) remotely give a shit
  18. So, Fish's attempted point was that Carver is the yardstick you should be using to measure whether or not Ramsey is a good coach. What's that saying about keeping your mouth shut to avoid looking a fool, lest you open it and confirm it?
  19. History has proven time and again that this is complete and total bullshit. And we don't need hypothetical examples, we have our very own club to provide very real examples that you don't know your arse from your elbow. When we went down in 2009, we sold Owen, Oba, Bassong, Beye and Duff. All first team players who played 20+ games in a relegation season, three playing in the very last must win game no less. Where did they end up? Four went to Premier League clubs, while Oba went to the previous year's Bundesliga Champions. I don't know for sure, but I'd say it's a fair bet that any decrease in their contract terms would have only been because they were on ridiculous money with us (I'm thinking Owen basically), and not because they'd just been relegated.
  20. Shame, we could have had a commercial tie in with East Coast when it was publicly run too - half price tickets for away trips.
  21. That's quality journalism Lee. You fucking stupid cunt. I don't have twitter, but that's my suggested reply for those who do.
  22. The key difference being that the Aussie Federation issues licenses to run clubs, which presumably have such clauses built in. Out pitiful governing body by contrast merely requires the owner to not be currently serving a jail sentence.
  23. I pity the uneducated fool who associates "essay style" with needless verbosity or tedious, rambling writing. A well written essay is neither, just like it's not even close to 40 fucking lines. It's barely even a long letter, to stretch the post terminology to its limits.
  24. 40 lines isn't an essay, it's just a good night out with Jake Livermore and friends. Pointless waffle is what comes after the 40 lines, both here and on the night out.....
