Rushed my arse. It took far longer than it should have. Regardless as to what they said on Sky’s after match bollocks. From where I was sitting on the opposite side of the ground we could see loads of folk shouting and even some decent soul waving a white flag/hanky thing, for several minutes The bloke who eventually trotted out from one of the dugouts (with the defib) seemed to have no urgency to me. IMHO.

First report I saw yesterday about his removal said “within 48 hours.” That had obviously been fed to the press by the club. Might be some contractual legality that needs addressing.

It is really sad. There are loads of other small NE clubs of a similar stature, whose fans just get on with being fans of their own clubs. Blyth Spartans, Darlington, Gateshead, Whitley Bay, to name a few. Time they woke up and realised where they are in the grand scheme of things.
