This is one of the biggest fallacies in football. A modest wage for a premier league player at £20k per week would earn £10 million in their 10 prime years between 20 and 30. We all know that there are so many more financial benefits and a player like Isak or Bruno will make a hell of a lot more in their ‘short career’ How much did you make in your youth? I assume it was a lot less than 10 million quid like. Look at the likes of Shearer, Lineker, Jenas (oh dear), Carrrrrrrager etc etc for one career path after the playing days, or all the bloody managers who have banked millions since they took off their boots.
