  1. Dele Alli is looking like he's away to Besiktas. There must be something seriously amiss in his private life for his form to have fallen off a cliff in such spectacular fashion.
  2. I would have thought it would be the opposite for your dress size.
  3. Gallagher? No he's not a wide player, but he can play as a six, an eight or ten at centre mid.
  4. The Times are reporting that Gallagher is our top target, and that we're progressing in our bid to get him. Whether that's with a loan or permanent isn't stated. Gallagher and Pedro on a permanent, and then one out of Broja, Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic on loan would be dreamland in terms of an end to our window.
  5. Will Pedro be the new Pedro. There'll probably be less racism.
  6. Supposedly the new proposal will be worth 28m including add ons. Reportedly their asking price was 30m, so hopefully we'll see some movement. The player himself is rumoured to be keen. He could be the perfect option given his ability to player wide left, right, and centrally. If we manage to get a Chelsea player on loan I think Gallagher would compliment the Pedro signing. Both could slot in right away, with Gallagher taking Willock's spot, and Pedro taking Almiron's.
  7. Could be something or nothing with the Ramos thing. Best I could tell from Google translate is that he was absent for the last training session before their Kiev game tomorrow. I'd be more worried about Wolves stepping ahead of us to sign him. Then again are we even interested if we're bidding for Pedro. Supposedly Wolves only want a loan with an obligation to buy deal, so that could work in our favour. Of course Wolves' ability to sign Portuguese players given all their connections almost makes it impossible to compete if they hold a strong interest. If Ramos doesn't start tomorrow night, and he's not injured, you'll know that something is happening for sure.
  8. Just seen a Brighton fan on twitter say he's happy Ashworth is gone and he's a fraud, because Ashworth scouted and tried to buy Nunez a few years back Let's forget him helping turn your team into an established PL team who are admired for how well run they are.
  9. I still think we'll make one permanent signing. We seem to have a few different irons in the fire, and we still have a couple of weeks left. I think Ideally PIF will want at least one more big name signing this window. If we were willing to spend 45m on Maddison presumably that money is still burning a hole in our back pockets for the right player.
  10. Quality attacking players are much more expensive and difficult to get though. Bruno is perhaps the exception, but most people expected him to play in a more defensive role when he came in, given that's where he played for Lyon. It just so happened that he has incredible versatility.
  11. Moving up to the next rung of the quality ladder is going to be tough, but I'd rather we were patient and only spent money on quality with potential, as opposed to the Everton etc approach of overpaying for players who are the shortsighted flavour of the week at the time they were signed. 40m for the Icelandic nonce for example. If we overpay now we could very easily miss the opportunity to spend money on real quality later if we max out our FFP.
  12. I do recall people praising Pedro as a prospect last time Watford were up. It might make sense given it's going to be hard to get someone with potential, can come into the team, has experience in the PL, but would be happy to be Wilson's understudy. If we did get someone like Pedro we'd really need to go all out for another goal scoring attacker who can immediately improve the team.
  13. The only thing about Hudson-Odoi is that he ruptured his achilles tendon the season before last, and has had a few reoccurring problems is that area since. I'm sure our medical team would take that into consideration, but again it's something to think about should we try to loan him.
  14. If reports are to be believed Benfica don't want to sell him until after their Champions League qualifier on the 23rd, given how important it is for them financially to qualify for the competition. It's not ideal given he could get injured, other clubs could jump ahead of us in the queue, or as I said the other day should another club beat us we could be in the last week of the window with few viable options. Edit. The Chronicle are reporting that Hudson-Odoi would be keen on a move to us, but that there's heavy competition for his signature. Another thing in our favour is that Chelsea would prefer to loan him to a PL team. Hudson-Odoi was heavily linked to Dortmund last year.
  15. Hudson-Odoi who was benched against Spurs was meant to play in a reserves match, but has been withdrawn from that. An Evening Standard footie writer who covers Chelsea has said that news of him going out on loan has intensified in the last 24 hours. So it appears that Hudson-Odoi will be going out on loan for the season imminently. Whether he'll be coming to us is another matter given there's plenty of teams interested in him. I think I'd prefer Pulisic given he's proven himself to be more explosive in goal and assist returns when he's on form. Hudson-Odoi supposedly has all the potential in the world, but the question is how long it would take Howe to get him back on track again after his big injury.
  16. Or Hudson-Odoi, or Broja. Of the four, given we'd only likely buy one and loan one given you can't loan more than one player from a club, and we likely won't pay the fees needed for two of those players, I'd take Pulisic and Broja. Broja will likely largely depend on Chelsea being successful in getting Aubameyang off Barca.
  17. From the sounds of it West Ham losing was harsh. They had a few cleared off the line, missed a penalty etc.
  18. Gallagher would be a very decent signing if we're actually after him. Whether he's what we desperately need is another question, but Shelvey's injury does make him more of a priority than he would have been. He's only 22, plenty of potential, can play multiple centre mid roles, and managed 8 goals and 3 assists in a bang average Crystal Palace side with Vieira chopping and changing his position from attacking to defensive mid.

  20. Hopefully that, if there was even any doubt, clears the minds of the money men and women about what we need to do in the final few weeks of the window. We can't progress as we'd like on being solid and having a lot of grit, both of which we showed in abundance today.
  21. I got ten to one, tenner on for Leeds and Newcastle away win. Leeds are two up, so it's squeeky bum time for that sweet, sweet pay out.
  22. Here's the link again for anybody that missed it on the previous page. Seems to be decent. AlexSports.Live = 101 - Channel 6
