I really hope we don't ever sign Gordon. By the sounds of it he's diving about like a tit again today. Thing is that if Everton get beat badly off Villa today, they might hit the panic button and sell Gordon in order to generate funds for transfers.

The second leg of their tie against Dynamo Kiev is two weeks away. If we could more or less be guaranteed to get Ramos off Benfica that would be one thing, but presumably we could quite easily wait two weeks, be in the last week of the window, and end up with our dick in our hands if a club like PSG etc, swoop in and sign him. Of course this is assuming that the report from the Portuguese paper is correct.
-
According to the Knight Rider we're only 10m short of Sociedad's valuation of Isak, who's supposedly always been our number one attacking target this window, so the closer we get to the end of the window a compromise could perhaps be met. I say only 10m, but maybe they could negotiate add ons to make up the difference.

They're going to gazump us again aren't they the cunts. You would only hope that he'd see how little game time he'd get at PSG and go for us instead. This of course is assuming that Ramos is PSG and our current number one target for a new striker. Of course unless we play him as a SS and change our formation to 3-5-2, which of course would allow us to play Botman, Schar and Burn, then he won't be starting for us. But I'd be willing to bet he'd get more game time for us given he'd immediately overtake Wood as second choice striker, as opposed to having to get a start ahead of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

It's tenuous at best, but Howe was asked about whether he was considering players from the Portuguese league after the Benfica friendly, more or less said that he was, and praised their technical ability. The journalist in the Sky video seems pretty certain we're interested, so it comes down to how reliable he is.

Unfortunately I can see Silva going to Barca and Man City coming in for Paqueta. Silva has apparently been asking Citeh to sort a move away for him for a season or two, specifically to Spain. So unless Pep convinces him to stay for another season, or Barca have finally run out of their funny money, then Silva's potential move could really fuck up our bid for Paqueta. As for Rider's audio clip, if we're in for Maddison we should be interested in Paqueta, because neither are wingers by trade, they're number 10's. Maddison is on record as saying he doesn't like playing wide, but both can and have played wide in their careers.

Arsenal's technical director Edu has already denied that Arsenal were interested in signing Paqueta, stating that while he admired the player they were already well stocked in the attacking mid area.

Juventus focus on Depay as Newcastle close on Muriel - Football Italia (football-italia.net) No idea how reliable La Gazzetta dello Sport are, but if the whole Botman saga is anything to go by then they're little more than propaganda for Italian clubs when teams from outside Italy are involved. Dieng would make more sense given Muriel is 31 and Dieng is 22.

When he played wide last season it was mostly from the left (11) than the right (2). He's right footed so it all depends on how much his game relies on playing as an inverted winger when he isn't playing as a centre forward.
-
Only 11 of those were starts in the league. With Dieng it seems we are going after potential, and are willing to take a chance on a young player given he can play centre forward and out wide, which will allow us to cover Wilson while we bed him into the team playing him out wide, which obviously has less pressure on it than leading the line for a team.
-
90mins were also all over the Ekitike saga from start to finish from January onwards. Perhaps whatever legit contacts they do have, have decent intel about Ligue 1, which of course is where Dieng and Paqueta ply their trade. Of course this is me more trying to convince myself than actually being all that confident. With Shelvey out now, Gallagher, Dieng and Paqueta could be a very decent end to the window. Of course Gallagher is unlikely to want to come if we can't guarantee him that he would be an important part of the team. So I can't see him and Paqueta happening unless we restructured the team to accommodate both, which is unlikely. If our move for Paqueta is legit, then the Gallagher stuff was very likely pure paper talk.

We'll see how it goes with who Everton end up signing, and whether Lampard can actually coach said players effectively, but Coady could easily be in the bottom three or close to it with Everton by the time the World Cup comes around. Also he played every game pretty much last season, so maybe he's lost his place to Collins who they signed this summer, but one game into the season is a bit early to be thinking you're bench fodder and move. So I would assume it's more complex than your comment suggests.
-
Most likely a terrible career move by Coady, who's a very decent centre half. I had actually assumed that he was an Everton fan given he's a scouser and chose what is a downward move to Everton, but apparently he's a Liverpool fan. The only logic to the move is that he wanted to move home for some reason.

We've supposedly submitted an enquiry for Conor Gallagher off Chelsea. I'd be pretty underwhelmed if we are actually interested in him, given that I don't think he's much better than say a Willock given he's an attacking mid. He'd add depth and little else.
