  1. cripes! i didn't realise there was that many gifs on the internet! and on that note and as an aside, way back in the olden days when the internet first began the only newcastle forum i was aware of was the old rivals net forum talk of the tyne. seem to recall it was closed down, possibly due to the naming of the grosvenor hotel bad boys and what they'd supposedly got up to. i could be wrong mind, i was far from a prolific user. anyway... i do remember there was a poster on there called t00nraider with the exact same use of the two '0's instead of 'o's who i'm sure played the same the contentious opinion card. got to be heading towards the best part of twenty years ago, if they're one and the same you have to admire the dogged but futile determination to wind folk up!
  2. always been a bit indifferent to west ham me, although away trips to upton park post '80 always got the old adrenaline pumping for a few years afterwards. any particular reason why you don't care for moyes?
  3. we might be ok if mikey puts his hand in his flappy jeans pocket in the next couple of weeks and spends another £40m on a striker who knows where the goal is.
  4. i'm gonna have a stab in the dark here, and say... no.
  5. at the begining of december norwich and watford looked a shoe in to take up two of the places, bournemouth have been in freefall for a while now and don't look like halting it. everton (sadly) were never going to stop down there, while southampton have steadily turned things round since their 0-9 home tonking. we meanwhile after flirting with the top 6 thanks to some swashbuckling front foot football by mostly the defenders are now looking like a team that was in a false position, perhaps, maybe? i reckon norwich bottom, bournemouth 2nd bottom with us battling it out with villa for 18th place.
  6. it's great isn't it? our best option up front, apparently, has netted 0 goals. our most expensive buy, ever, has 1 to his name. by this time last year joselu had doubled the total of the above two on his lonesome. we allowed rondon and perez to venture off to pastures new. one could almost be excused for thinking we're a bit of a shambles. almost.
  7. stunning display of front foot football. well worth tuning in for.
  8. i've always thought sauron's eye looks uncannily like some poor fuckers axe wound's on fire.
  9. aye and me, the club, the city and its inhabitants, or at least those who frequent elland road. i did however once buy a lwb sprinter roof rack for a bargain £75 off a bloke from pudsey, who insisted on helping me fit it before i drove away. lovely chap. just for context though, they did make a better fist of it against the worst arsenal team in a decade than we did. but then that hardly says much.
  10. the top two in the championship appear to be running away with a bit so maybe the standard below leeds and west brom drops off? regardless mate, newcastle haven't come close to matching the standard of football leeds have played for those first 45 minutes.
  11. can't really profess to have seen too much of leeds and whether or not they've raised their game here. however on this showing they would absolutely rip brucey's boys to bits.
  12. put's him in with a shout for player of the season you reckon?
  13. fair play mate, you're admirably resolute in your defence, not to mention being a dab hand at digging up old quotes. problem is, despite how many times joelinton jumped up inn the air by the 15th september or andy carroll breaking all opta stat records for the same thing last week, they've scored one goal between them in over half a season and provided very little else. whether a record breaking £40m super buy or a freebie returning hero you've got to concede this is fucking shite, surely? perhaps they're just not very good? we'd have been better of hanging on to ivan toney and adam armstrong, it's highly unlikey they'd have been as impotent.
  14. aye, to take a team from title challengers to relegation candidates in the space of 12 months whilst displaying unbelievable arrogance was truly mind-boggling. anyway.... apologies for derailing the joelinton thread, he deserves so much more than being tucked away in a rochdale match thread!
  15. he might well represent our best hope of getting rid of ashley. £40m worth of money laundering's got to warrant a lengthy spell inside.
  16. still.... the opportunity for a nice day out lives on!
  17. joelinton, not only not scoring but stopping other from too!
  18. a goal could come from anywhere with that team. prolific.
  19. dalglish, souness, pardew, allardyce, it remains to be seen how far bruce can move up the ladder, put the potential is high. i do know that dalglish destroyed the finest team i've seen in my nufc supporting lifetime and i hate cunt with a passion for it. i can still picture the cunt being interviewed towards the end of his first full season when we were still in danger of being relegated and the arrogance of the dour cunt defied belief. nearly came to blows several times over the years with red scousers, and while i respect their love for him it would never, ever stop me from venting my revulsion.
  20. you could well be on to something there.
