It's a very short career in top-level football & players with ambition can't afford to stay at a club that is slowly developing. Isak's chances of winning cups increases playing for Liverpool or PSG. Every player kisses the badge but at the end of the day it's a cut throat business & a player has to do what's best for him. Isak's value is pretty good right now & there is very little value in hanging on to an unhappy player.

Toney was a strange one. Money was the big deal for that lad plus they don't mind if you want to have a little flutter.

I doubt very much that Isak will have any interest in going to Saudi. English clubs are not getting into a bidding war with the Saudis as every one knows most players want to play at the highest level.

Like all top players he will want Champions League football & if Newcastle can't provide it he will look else where. Contract lengths count for very little when a player wants away.

I agree with you. he had a bit of a purple patch at West Ham but he really hasn't done a lot in his time at Man U. How he thinks that he is worth 150 a week is beyond me.

I actually thought it was a good decision by the ref to let that go. I'm a bit "old school" & think too much is called in modern football. It seems that players shouldn't challenge for 50/50 balls anymore.

Paying players like Rashford & Maguire 200k a week pretty much makes them unsaleable. Very few clubs can pay that kind of money especially for an underperforming player.

The Red Cafe seems to think that Newcastle would be interested in buying Harry Maguire. They figure that Newcastle are the only club who can afford him.
