  1. I've got both Spotify and Amazon music and tend to favour Spotify but still feel like a scab for subscribing to either of them. Tidal music seems to be the platform favoured by the artists that are missing from Spotify and Amazon.
  2. I'd just pay the extra 4mill and then offer Liverpool even more money for Joe Gomez on a similar deal but with the option to recall like it was no big deal. Avoid relegation then sign Pogba on a free and loan him back to them. Put them back in their place.
  3. I know a few folk like that,. unfortunately. Personally I relate more to this:
  4. I'm not so convinced, admittedly though that's partly why I can't see Sunak as favourite. Patel on the other hand has spent most of her political career trying to appeal to exactly that demographic with loads of obscene hard-right rhetoric.
  5. Would love to see the back of him. Bit worried though that Sunak looks like a false favourite to replace him and we're more likely to get Patel in the interim.
  6. Fuck patron, draw up a book and use the profits to maintain the forum. Edit: patreon
  7. Thought as much. I thought I was being clever setting up another alt but now I'm getting the fear I'll accidentally use the wrong account for something and never be able to show my face here again.
  8. I'm quite curious how many folk forgot to set up an alt before joining. Bet @Andrew and @Tom are working through most of yer Reddit history and have a lot of you marked as the proper-wrong-uns we always suspected. Only reason I joined tbh.

    Apologies

Good to see this place back up and running. All the best Ant, hope you feel better and manage to clear your head. It's a decent wee community here, one of only a handful of forums I still frequent. Thanks for the work you were putting in to keep it going.
  10. I'm with Andrew here. I'll take stable and functional over pretty and high maintenance anyday. I love a nice rosewood board with a interesting grain bit probably only for the same reasons people find themselves fascinated with artexed ceilings after too many mushrooms.
  11. Glad to hear rosewood might be back on the menu but the only real difference I've ever noticed between rosewood and pau ferro is looks. Just dim the lights man, they all look the same in the dark.
  12. They're spectacularly good. I'd probably have bought one by now but it just wouldn't be a great look for a guy with a sideline in flogging 60 year old tech. Even the old Roland Cube tech was great tbh Wait did I say out loud? I meant to say "ha, check this prick out thinking his modern day digital amp is better than a JTM45".
  13. Loads of great riffs in Muse stuff but I can't be arsed with them for the most part. If still really like Fillip from their first album, which is weird since it sounds like a demo and doesn't really stand out our sound any different from any of their other stuff. Most of the music I like is shite and probably has fuck all artistic merit but probably just caught me at the right time and now has memories attached to it.
  14. Don't believe the hype. I've heard from l trusted sources that this "fridge" is just another Ibanez Tubescreamer.
  15. I've got no idea who they are but that sounds 80s as fuck and actually not all that bad. I got my missus Blondie tickets for Christmas, so there's a good chance I'll be stuck suffering one night in April. Looks like Johnny Marr is opening though so I might go willingly.
  16. Granted "of course I lied! Look how guilty the truth would make me look!" isn't exactly a great defence.
  17. Option 😄 Prince Andrew slept with a girl who had been trafficked. Then lied repeatedly about his association with the traffickers.
  18. "My client admits all the accusations are true, but in his defence he's just not very clever"
  19. Prince Andrew: "Never met her, that photograph is false news. Plus I have a medical condition and I don't sweat" Asprilla: "I think he's innocent!"
  20. I actually had a close mate fall out with me recently after pointing this rule out to him when he started seeing some 18yo in his mid 30's. To be fair to him though it was probably more likely me saying "youse should come over for dinner one night, I'll get the high-chair down from the loft" that he took the wrong way rather than the rule.
  21. If he's still working on stuff like Come as you are just now he might not even be using that end of the fretboard much, for a while at least. If you get quoted something unexpectedly high for a repair and setup it might just be worth getting a basic setup and leaving the damage as is until hes learning the Sweet Child of Mine solos. Not saying don't get it fixed like, just that it's called "the dusty end" for a reason. Doubt it should cost that much though, from what Gemmill's said it sounds like something a good tech would cover within their hourly bench rate assuming there's no other surprises.
  22. Love that he starts with saying "bit hard to keep it in tune". Edit, ah I take that back. Hes saying it's the song that is hard record live and keep in tune die to the complex chords. PRS stuff I've played has all been great tbh but I'll probably never buy one thanks to their fuckity scale length. I've already got like 4 notched straight edges and have no intention of making or buying another.
  23. That's where we keep the plasters and first aid kit. Taking no risks.
  24. Like a Pokémon on its journey towards evolution. Keep at it, a few more levels and you could have opposable thumbs.
