They're both quite narrow like, which is my only gripe having a slightly broader foot. Mundial's though on a decent pitch, absolute bliss, that.

Was thinking that too like, reading OzToon.

No accompanying explanation, I just let these do the talking.

P Diddy sued for $1 trillion and accused of causing 9/11 attacks

So you want statutory rape adding to the indictment? Good one Fish, Diddy's in enough bother here already. -
Ah right didnt realise this was part of a running battle. My misunderstanding.

What a colourful character.

Why is he a Leeds fan like?
-
Guessing he means 1992/93 tbh

Yes he does, if that's all he was saying, however it is patently obvious that's not all he's saying and theres years worth of posts for that to be a matter of judicial notice by now. Leazes' point is that unless we spend the sorts of sums that Man U, Chelsea and Man Citeh do (and by that I mean right now) then we can't win the Prem. But everyone knows that, that's why it gets so tedious. My point is that my re-wording is the only thing that Leazes will be happy with and that will have to involve spending beyond our means, because those clubs currently spend beyond our means (Man U because they have more resources and City and Chelsea because they are billionaire playthings). I'm not decrying that on principle, it is a strategy for what it is worth, what I'm saying is stop trying to pass it off as a strategy that is more appropriate to or righteous for NUFC because we're a big club, because the size of the club ceases to have any relevance once you're talking about pure debt finance in the way that Leazes contemplates.

Yes on identity, no on trophies.

I disagree. I believe LM says the same as I do, that you cant compete at any level unless you populate your team with players of the quality required. That cannot be done at the highest level based on loans and lower league "prospects" you have to have some level of balance between new exciting young prospects and experienced top level players. If you want to break into Europe then you have to speculate to accumulate. I dont know for definite if LM thinks we should break the bank, I know I dont think that we should but I do believe that a club of our size and potential income should be able to go out and spend £10m on a player if they're the cog we need to pull it together. What is also true is that if you do not compete at the level then you cannot hold onto your Carrolls, Ben Arfas, Tiotes and the like. Sooner or later they'll have their heads turned by the prospect of Champions League, Premiership winners medals, FA Cups etc Overall I believe that is what Leazes is saying and I agree. For the record, if we get through tomorrow and havent sold any of our main players and bring in another couple of faces be they on loan or whatever then I will be happy. I agree with you and I think that's just common sense. I suspect LM would say that he agrees with that too, but in reality if you actually analyzed his output, his other contributions would simply not back that up.

If he is going nowhere then absolutely nothing. Possibly any number of things in his contract that might forbid him discussing transfer dealings with the press. Not that I'm suggesting he'd necessarily pay any attention to what his contract may or may not say.

Now you've done it! Leazes being right on this issue is like me saying you need a space ship to get to the moon. Aye, basically. It's pointless addressing Leazes' criticism of the club's 'ambition' though in any event because his charge list is a complete moveable feast. Sometimes it's predicated on our size (we're 3rd 'biggest' (attendances) ergo we should be at least 3rd biggest spending) and other times it's wholly focussed on debt finance (we should just spend any amount, regardless of who and how we finance that) in which case if you follow that argument, it really doesnt matter how big the club is anyway because you're talking about a method of financing which bares no relationship to the size of the club in any event. So stripping it all away lets not blow smoke up his arse about there being some fundamental truth in what he's saying which has somehow flawed everyone else's comprehension levels. All he's basically saying and all he has ever really said is that he wants us to spend at least as much if not more as the club that's spending the most money. Short of that he simply won't be happy. As a strategy it amounts to nothing more than a very basic desire that we outspend everyone. We can all relate to that and theres part of everyone that would like to see it I suspect, but it needs to be acknowledged for what it is. Anyway as he's already said, Ashley will be bought out at the start of the year so I fail to see why he still expends energy 'exposing' the limitations of the Ashley model in the context of Champions League success, to people who are perfectly capable of understanding basic mathematics.

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll

Oh don't lets start that one for fuck's sake -
I'm pretty sure she disappeared up her own arse. You silver tongued bastard. What is it with you and the lasses on here Gemmill? Bit harsh to them aren't you? You can't have been rejected by all of them? To be fair, Lou was annoying and Mags thought she was the business and hated being called on it. That's the only two I've genuinely had no time for. The rest are spot on. Dave going to the rather more futile extreme of trying to get a ride off a girl with a unicycle.

Understatement but then I don't know if it's possible to overstate it tbf. Very much agree with the post in the context of transfer policy though (I don't know how you begin to look at management recruitment on the other hand, because it's been horrendous). My criticism of him stems entirely from the fact you honestly cannot trust his next whim at all (Mac-Toon's criticism essentially). Others however seem to be entirely focussed on things not happening quickly enough with big money transfers and this accounts for their criticism. Fortunately for those in the latter camp Leazes has promised a take over in the first couple months of the year so that could change things on that score, but if it does I'd like to see the more root and branch improvements of club ethos being continued and not sacrificed on the altar of colour coded Audi R8's. -
Ripe for a Stokoeshop? Is nothing sacred ffs???!!!

I've posted the bigger picture, which incidentally is what the successful clubs do, but I'm sure you and one or two other arseholes will be too thick to see it Tbf there is zero acknowledgment of the 'bigger picture' in 99% of your output, so I think you either don't believe that or simply massively underestimate the importance of anything besides massive fees and salaries. -

Yeah, you got me there mate. I do think you'd be happier if they were £10 and £15 million purchases respectively though. THAT's how simple I think you actually believe it is-I genuinely hold that view. -

If they cost five times as much they'd be five times the player. It's THAT simple. You do the math, cockend!
