does he really need to be backed up by you like this ? How do you propose that I'm 'backing him up' exactly?

Emergency question re yorkshire puddings
manc-mag replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in General Chat
All that was then needed to mop up the gravy was some of manc mags roasting tin yorkies....Yum Yum Yum. Superb! -
I love that bit in the Christmas Father Ted where Mrs. Doyle has to guess Father Todd Unctuous' name. "Father Hiroshima Twinkie..." If Leazes is so bothered he should start guessing I reckon.

Aye and they didn't win either. Taking into consideration the manager, that last Argentina team was awful; most of the fans were just happy they didn't end up completely embarrassing themselves. Messi has time to win a world cup, and his current club form is unparalleled in a modern game where the standard is a lot higher than in El Diego's day. Don't get me wrong I'm mad on Maradona, but watching Barca of late, Messi has made another step up in terms of ability. Fair enough if he goes on to win a world cup (I'd even say make a final-Baggio in '94 was runner up but still more worthy than any other player at the tournament). Next one will be his big chance-Brazil an all so the scene could hardly be better set!!

Fuck's sake. Choking on my own rage here!

Argie '86 certainly weren't shit but he didnt even need to pass the ball anyway in some games. Argie '90 were fucking atrocious

Messi would pretty much have to get his country to two world cup finals to be as good as Maradona tbh. Domestic football's one thing but it's a very rareified air at the very very very top of the game.

The only other time I was aware he'd played at all (apart from for England) was when he was a sports master at some school or other he'd taught at? Years since I read the biography like but genuinely dont remember mention of anything other than Toon and Linfield.
-
Aye just checked - he did start there. Clue for this other fella, he played for Sir Bobby at Portman Road between his stints at the Merseyside clubs. Feels like this one should be more obvious. Havent got a scooby tho.

I see that Stuart is from the Isle of Man. Just asked him if he supports the blue dippers, he's got that fat faced look about him I reckon. He's the fucking spit of someone I went to Uni with. So much so when I met up with one of our other mates the other week and asked him if he watched the apprentice, he knew exactly where I was going with it! Nowhere near as much of a cock as Stuart mind. Poor fella, you get some blokes regardless how thin they are, they live their lives with a big fat face. Rooney being a point in case. True that like. And conversley you get some right fat bastards with no face fat. Fucking galling when you're the sort of person who only has to put a stone on to instantly gain an extra chin.

I don't remember it myself like but I remember hearing he was an Everton fan (supposedly) and started his career there as a youth.
-
Didn't McMahon start his career at Everton? No idea of his derby record but as good a punt as any??

I call plenty of people cunts to their face. I bet you wouldn't call a copper a pig to his face, and you wouldn't say to my face what you said about my daughter. PM me your name and see if you will. I said I'd exchange names, willing to do that? would you call someone you didn't know a cunt like? avoiding the muslim thing I see. and what's so bad about calling a cop a pig to his face? FWIW, I've nowt against muslims, just muslim terrorists. You're obviously too stupid to understand this, I've only said it dozens of times. pm me your name, and I will find you on my own. See if you repeat what you said about my daughter. Fuck me gently!

Who is the last World Cup winner to have been born in Greater Manchester?
-
Never remembered them being Div 2 at the time like-even though we were down there too. Good question.
-
Norwich?
-
I was starting to think Tony Blackburn must have been an apprentice there.
-
Spot on....famous-ish (much underrated) striker, also played for Barca Must be Archibald then (Craig already got it) as he played for Barca. Fuck knows how you verify summat like that now (unless someones got it on vhs), but that is a class question if it's right!

Quality question

He was Welsh. Yeah I just checked. And he didnt play for Rangers. Or Singapore either I'm betting. One of the perils of not googling. You insuate I google, I don't google. The only time I've googled a question was that Amsterdam Olympics 1928 question when I was live on Talksport. I dont think you google at all man.
