Not really a bad sign, we've been playing badly and occasionally winning for the last 3 years and we've won fuck all. 150532 Dare I say it, but we're not Brazil! tbh.

It would be an horrific irony if the efficacy of the Gerrard/Lampard sacred cow of a partnership was finally tested by leaving either of them out for that lanky cowardly streak off piss.

Brazil playing badly and winning. Bad sign.

Without Messi we could probably beat them. But with Messi and Tevez its ganna be tough like. Serbs are cack though tbh. Not a result to go by. 149722 Without their subs? 149741 They aren't the subs. Messi didn't start cause he's coming back from injury and Tevez has a problem with Crespo. Messi and Tevez are light years ahead of Maxi and Saviola. 149743 With the Argies the defence doesn't 're-group' very well and there are question marks against Burdisso. Soldo is nearly always forward and a little slow coming back which can be exploited by a Lennon type (if the bugger could cross). The oft repeated pattern of Riquelme drifting in from the left looking for the second phase pass is soemthing the 'big' sides with deal with...And Ricky is quite lazy at times. A lot of their fluidity comes from Crespo's availability and late running....Tevez Messi and Crispy together firing on all cylinders is a big package to deal with...Bu it can be. I am hoping this WC is a little too early for Tevez, but the next WC they will have Aguerro who is every bit as good as Messi. You can take a bet now that Arg will win the next WC. 149752 Crespo's got the best timed run in football I think. Almost never see him given off-side and even when you do the decision is mainly wrong. Ditto his dis-allowed goal against S&M. Wouldnt premise the Argies fluid movement on Crespo's running though. The S&M game was all about the short passing and they were doing it all over the pitch. They were fucking awesome tbh. I think they could and should beat any team in that form (and will absolutely rinse some of them).

I know my stuff 148794 Tbf, it'll be the 2nd round when they fuck up in spectacular style. I mean, even we beat them in a pentaly shoot out. 148802 Or as Chris Waddle would say pelanty shoot out. Spain were robbed in that game. I was there. Soopafantastic tbh 148811 I was I was taking the piss though Boxy baby. It took watching the highlights for me to realise Spain's 'goal' was onside. Wind your neck in, Alex for Christ's sake! 148817 148819 Speechless tbh. The desired effect.

Just like toe-ending a penny floater then. 148783 Or like you kicking any ball tbh. -
I dont think their parochial attitudes are any more divisive than the Italians tbh-theres massive regional differences in Italy-but they always seem to get it on for the World Cup. Think they just have better players tbh.
-
Dont get me wrong. I want to see them do badly as well!

Headed in at the top of the box tbh. I think it's the ball it really does seem to knuckle more than any I've seen before. 148753 148760 Baseball term for a ball that moves unexpectedly in the air I believe. (As thrown by a 'knuckleball pitcher'). 148770 'Pitchers'? 'Pork Knuckles'? -

Perennially overhyped by virtue of having a glamourous domestic league. See also England.

If/when Rooney is back and we're playing a 'proper'© team then we simply cant afford Lampard and Gerrard in the team tbh-Rooney drops off enough to render 'attacking midfield' qualities redundant (unless they come with defensive qualities an arl). Thing is I dont really rate Carrick-think he's the epitome of average-but I'd bring him in for Lampard. It's hard to sacrifice a talented player (Lampard) for someone who's not very good (Carrick), but then if you're going to use the player whos not very good to say man mark/cover the defence then it's perfectly justified if theres a 'business need' for that (to use management speak). As has already been said though, it aint gonna happen. Unfortunately, out of J. Cole, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney, I can honestly see Rooney doing the most defending. Which aint gonna fly against the likes of Brazil/Portugal/Argentina/Dutch.
