  1. Arsenal a selling club? They have a 60,000 seater stadium-that's 15,000 more than City. It doesn't make sense (etc etc ad infinitum)
  2. In a nutshell. And Ollie, fwiw, I wasn't saying that the premise itself was sound, because it isn't, I was simply pointing out that if (as is typically the case on here) people state that net 'profit' from transfer windows is evidence of him pocketing cash from the club, conversley logic dictates that a net 'spend' is him putting his hands in his own pockets. It isn't that simple for the reasons Chez mentions, but people seem quite happy to view it in those terms (wrongly). The logic applies whether the premise is sound or not however and that's basically what my original post is getting at. I don't think he will return to big spending, but Leazes basically cites anything he sees as supportive of his agenda without knowing the nature or quality of what's being said.
  3. Not speaking from experience I hasten to add.
  4. I dunno like. A bit of lube and all that.
  5. @ Maradona's hair. Like a Town Crier's hat. Also I thought the first pic was Nicolas Sarkozy for about 10 seconds.
  6. Aye in the absence of CCTV or a reliable independent witness it was the most likely outcome, conspiracy or not.
  7. good summing up. In other words, using the club to buy cheap, and sell on. A selling club. Thing is its Ashley's business ethic, just look at how he runs Sports Direct. Buy cheap and flog it on for a profit, why oh why some people here think he will run NUFC any differently from his other business's beats the shit out of me. Thing is he already has done it differently. When he first came in he spunked money on players as well as the next playboy owner. That isn't to say he'll do it that way again necessarily, but your point is contradictory in that NUFC has already been shown to be the very enterprise in which he has departed from his 'normal business ethic'. Hmm don't think so bonny lad. In Summer 2007 FCB had a net spend of around £8/9M but has spent fuck all in any transfer window since and his transfer dealings show a net profit of over £40m. How that equates to "spunking money on players" defeats me. Transfer profits are fine as long as they do not weaken the team, well the Fat Cunt has certainly done that this year. Or do you think Demba "Dodgy Knee" Ba is better than Andy Carroll? I notice we have now seemingly pulled out of signing another new striker so FCB obviously thinks he has spent enough this window. So much for the Bullshit from Parsnip and Lambs arse. Amazing that some people actually believe it. exactly. Can't help but laugh at phrases like "spunking money" when we were playing regularly in europe and raising the revenue ie 14th biggest in football, to justify it. Mike Ashley's alternative obviously reaps better rewards, in the eyes of some fools anyway. Interestingly (and you'll forgive me for this but I am a stickler for logic), if you use net transfer profit as evidence of him 'pocketing the cash', then a net transfer spend has to be evidence of the opposite approach. Which is basically all I was saying. I'm already well aware you fail to follow logical thought processes in even their most basic expression though, so we'll just leave that one there.
  8. sorry NJS, but that wishy washy stuff you say there is the whole point Stevie is making here. Eh? I specifically describe the targetting of young lasses as evil and I'm wishy-washy? I honestly don't believe you can read.
  9. ...count to ten, Leazes! One, two, three......
  10. Gibson=tediously average O'Shea=utterly shit Brown=past his peak (and ps, wait til you see him play behind a midfield that doesn't keep possession for 90% of the match)
  11. The North West doing a good trade here, which I was a bit surprised to see.

  13. My neighbour has had bother with a couple of dikes not so long ago and the bull dike out the pair of them spat in his face when he was arguing with her. He didn't retaliate which although is very admiral I doubt I could have stopped myself reacting. At the end of the day, she plays the man in the relationship, looks like a bloke and acts like a bloke so imo she should be treat like a bloke, and is this instance I think I wouldn't have been able to control myself and would have had to kick the minge off her, lass or not. 'Cake and eat it time' then like I guarantee you. Playing the hardman and spitting in peoples faces (technically assault) but then hamming it up as the defenceless female once you'd taken a boot to her minge.

  15. I'd say 80% of them are anyway as screwdriver is just like a knife. Thats why I wouldn't even give one a chance to open his mouth if I caught him in the house, hit first, ask questions later is the way forward imo. Have you just been burgled and spat at by a bull dike?
  16. I don't think Parky and his lass are swingers, Bev.

Look at Kev's back yard the posh bastard. How much are McDonald's crew members on these days?
  18. I was looking at that mate and I was thinking you must have been born in the only bright patch of that season-three wins on the belt in that early December. Without bothering to look into it, I'm confident I was born during the club's worst run of form in it's entire history. Feel like Eeyore ffs.
  19. Sandwiched between a home defeat to West Ham and a home defeat to West Brom, and slap in the middle of a ten (10) match losing run. We went down unsurprisingly enough. http://www.statto.com/football/teams/newca...77-1978/results Talk about fucking jinxed.
