How can Badenoch give the interview about "No longer identifying as Nigerian" tie in with her views on immigration? I am not commenting on that one statement either. I am talking about each reason she has given for feeling like this.

I said something similar to this. I am not convinced that Isak would be successful in systems not set up for him in the way we are. Unfortunately, I think Liverpool would be a really good destination for him. I still feel that the wheels could completely come off for Liverpool. Liverpool shone last year when everyone else did really poorly. We had an awful start to the season yet it ended up really well. I think that is a reflection of how bad everyone else seemed to do. I don't think Liverpool ran away with it, people just didn't perform. I know this could be argued with them running away with it. They were not special. Noone on here could honestly say that Liverpool were our toughest games last year.

I don't overly buy this narrative. We are no better than most other fan bases. We treated ASM like pur messiah for years and he got us out of some very messy situations. There was only that Australian lass who really lost any sleep over it. People turn on their hereos all of the time (not what happened with ASM). Isak has delivered some of the best moments that some of the NUFC fans have had in their lifetime and he has had their love in return.

I have no concerns about Isak staying. I have to be honest and say that I think getting £150m would probably be better for us in the medium to long term. Howe brought Fraser back in to the best of his ability, I doubt he would treat Isak any worse. The response from Gordon and Trips indicates that it is probably easier than you think to make the mistakes Isak has. I also think NUFC gave green light for Spain. If they hadn't, surely the NUFC lawyers could have argued away the % sell on fee due to their involvement in unsettling our player.

You could also replace Liverpool with Mitchel to be fair.
-
To be fair with insight like that, you can understand why they asked her opinion. If only someone told me that, without an engine, my car wasn't going to go far, I wouldn't be on to my 5th car in a week.
-
I think NUFC knew and gave the green light to go to Spain.

We need some more emojis for the reactions.

That just doesn't make any sense. It is portrayed that our response is the issue here. No matter what anyone thinks about the full situation, PIF own that asset and Liverpool have to persuade them to sell him to them.

What frustrates me about this is we should have a list of 10+ players for each position that we should be ready to move on. It shouldn't be as basic, and I doubt that it is, as we tried for Etikite and that Benjamin bloke and now we are out of ideas. It feels like we really are lacking once we go above Howe.
-
There is no way that he could know that.

This is something that concerns me. I thought Wood did a great job for us but the system didn’t work for him. He wasn't 'successful' in many respects. Osula has not been 'successful' either which is a concern. Neither has Gordon when he has played up top, granted that is not his position.

I am not on the same page with a lot of people with this one. I just don't think Isak leaving is going to be the big deal most people think. He has really good stats. He is arguably one of the best strikers in the world. He has also played a big part in our first silverware. However, I also think he goes missing for long spells of both parts of a game and games in general. He seems to miss a lot of really straightforward opportunities but then scores some screamers and all is forgotten. I think there is every chance that he does a Torres and goes for the big move to never make it to the same standards. I do think he will do well at Liverpool as he is going to have a lot of service put into him. I think we can replace him and go onto the next levels. A lot of his success has come off the backs of Gordon, Murphy and Joelinton doing a lot of the donkey work.

I think my son would agree with that.

I love the Simpsons

I wouldn't be suprised if we offered -%. Yes, if we sell him in the future, we want you to also pay us.

I don't think being in the Champion's League is the draw that people are making it out to be. I think the fact we are in it for the second time in three years is more impressive. It is pointless joining a team to be in a competition that it cannot win. Players would be lining up to join Celtic if it was that simple. Manchester United do have a bigger name than us historically and I imagine the prestige of playing for them still holds weight with some players. I think, if we manage to hang around the Champions League for another 3 times in the next 5 years, we will be a recognised talent.
-
That sounds rough. I hope that you are doing alright.

I think it is a reasonable thing to try and do. I also think, if PIF do want NUFC to grow their brand, it is an actual reasonable use of money. Beckham had a deal with Brill Cream, he shaved his hair off at the time as well. I don't buy into this fair market value either. Anything is worth the money some people are willing to pay at that time. I go into a corner shop and I am willing to pay £1.20 for a bottle of Coke, I am willing to pay £3.20 in a restaurant. I begrudge paying both amounts which I think further validates my point.

Is there a way to stop players from getting individual sponsorships when they play for a team? Could Isak get a £200k a week sponsorship to be the official face of PIF? Or does this breach a specific rule?
-
He didn't the year before though. We fell off a cliff when he came in. Noone thought Pope was a step up on Dubravka. We were wrong. Noone really thought Dubravka was needed as an upgrade We were wrong. Having Ramsdale here will only be a benefit to us. It is not like we are doing this at the detriment of any other deal.

I am starting to wonder if PSR works in two ways. 1) keep the top 6 as the top 6. 2) stop owners like Mike Ashley having to spend mega money to keep up.
-
In like terms, I would not accept a bid of Grealish (at his best) and Anderson for Isak. Is this too basic a way to look at it?
-
Is it unreasonable to expect £300m+ for Isak? Grealish went for £100m and that was a few years ago.

I think this is now fixed
