Away end or mixing with the smogs? We've put feelers out for away end tickets, but I've been in the Boro end about 4 or 5 times now, they're mugs but it's no bother, the one year we got chucked out we got put in the toon end, 4-1 game. The deed is done, east stand upper. I'm sure I'll be fine because I'll more than likely be surrounded by vast swathes of empty seats. Wear a tracksuit, get addicted to smack, dribble out the side of your mouth, and glue a baby to your cock - you'll blend right in. Harsh but fair. Polishing up me sovs for the occasion.

St.James' Park- An Alternative View

Quality. Good for you mate. -
I think its a con. Someone tried the same trick on my parents a few years back. They are either trying to get your bank details or they are trying to make you pay them a premium for something you're already getting for free (well, as part of your subscription package).

Police / Traffic Wardens stationed outside a primary near to me giving tickets to the lazy fuckers who park on the yellow zig-zags outside the school. Good.

Another team will be foolish to snap him up though. Will Madrid be looking for another manager after getting knocked out of the CL?

Rafa has to go like. Nooooooo, he must stay.

I see Woodgate is finished for the season too, operation on a groin injury. Played an impressive two league games for spuds this season.

Yeah, my early match-going memory is the same, just two floodlight pylons. Is the supporters club hut the one that used to be next to the comic shop in Haymarket?

I'm in the home end for the Bristol game, haven't done that since at Anfield years back. I'm working in Middlesbrough tomorrow afternoon. I'm sorely tempted to get a couple of tickets in with the beasts. Have you done it before(in the boro or any other 'home' end? I'll be sitting with a few neutrals, so I'm not too bothered, I get over so rarely though, it would have been nice to get into the away end. I've been in the Gwladys Road End before at Everton, but that was with my mate who's a toffee. I'll be going with my Dad on saturday. I'll have to make the old fool sit on his hands I think.

From the Beeb. What it doesn't say in that article, but has just said on the mid day news, is that the link will end at Leeds. So, if you're travelling to London from Newcastle it seems you're going to have to change trains at Leeds. Fantastic. Not wanting to sound like a metro-hating mackem, but why should people from the North East and Scotland, or West country and Wales, pay money from their taxes for this? Are you sure you'll have to change trains at Leeds? Won't it just join the existing main line from there north? Lord Adonis is the most inappropriately named person of all time btw.

Away allocation is sold out. Anyone else thinking about risking it going in with the smogs?

Is The Blind Side out in this country yet?

Speeding and going through a red light
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to bawan's topic in General Chat
I once went through two red lights in a row because I was concentrating on listening out for our name in the FA cup draw too much -
I'm on with Friday Night Lights by HG Bissinger, but I could be distracted because a mate has just lent me The Hacienda: How Not to Run a Club by Peter Hook.

It would have been in our best interests to have them put down tbh.

So long 6 music and online content
Dr Kenneth Noisewater replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
Can't say I've ever listened to 6 Music even though the profile of it appeals to me. Firstly, the DAB reception is shit where I live (which the beeb really should do something about, as they rushed out the platform to be the first digital radio network in the world), and secondly, as Alex said, the marketing of the DAB content has left a lot to be desired. If I couldn't pick up Xfm on mine it would be in the bin by now. -
He used to say the opposite of that on Talksport. He even said he grew up on The Kop and the passion for Liverpool and Everton on Merseyside can not be compared to the passion for Newcastle United on Tyneside. Well he's a lot more interested in their scores and stories than ours now. Maybe its because the station is more focused on the prem.

I think Quinny's gone back to being a thieves fan now like, going off some of the things he's said on talkSport recently.

Another one from that era, beating Leeds 5-2 on the first day of the season in 1989 when they were big favourites to go up. Micky Quinn scored four on his debut and Mcghee got the other one. They scored a shit-load together that season.
