Poor form. I would have valued him at closer to ten, and we know they're not short of a bob or two. How long did he have left on his contract?
-
The club have themselves to blame really. If we weren't in this shitty mess the tonking off liverpoo, which ultimately pushed him over the edge, could've been avoided. It's done now, we've just got to get on with it. It's the one position we had depth in anyway.

Marvellous public service broadcasting from Alan Green and Mark Lawrenson today, they might as well have joined in the liverpool chants.
-
Aye, if he's gets in the weight room for a couple of seasons I could see him developing into a real Duncan Ferguson type of forward, the sort defenders hate playing against.

Please leave your rugby-for-girls, why-do-they-wear-crash-helmets, it-takes-soooo-long comments at the door. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_spor...all/7860759.stm SUPER BOWL XLIII: Arizona Cardinals v Pittsburgh Steelers Venue: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida Date: Sunday 1 February Kick-off: 2315 GMT Coverage: Watch live on BBC One and the BBC Sport website (UK only) The Steelers are the big favourites tonight, but I'd really like to see the Cardinals do it because their quarterback, Kurt Warner, has had such an amazing story, and because Anquan Boldin (one of their wide receivers) was playing again less than three weeks after having eight plates inserted in his jaw after almost having his head taken off vs. the Jets. Polamalu of the Steelers is like a wild animal though, he'll give them a hard time.

Was anyone at the station today?

Yep, it's a genuine six-pointer alright. Is Nolan not playing like?

Did you see the number of people who'd come to see that new steam train? I have to admit it was a spectacular sight, but it must've been constantly foggy when every train was like this, given the amount of smoke and steam that one made. I expect Rob can remember.

Few days up on the west coast of Scotland at the end of feb.

Completely agree. There's nothing I've seen on this board I agree with more than this. It's a big generalisation to say they're all wanks, certainly the majority of people under 30 on this board are alright, but in general across the toon supporting spectrum, people who largely found football in post 1992 through either age, or cuntishness are Cunts Have to have a negative slant on almost everything The key one have to have an alternative view on every football related subject something Wacky mentioned, to make themselves look clever Are arrogant, I used to understand my elders knew best when I was a youngun not these young cunts +1 A lot of our lot were spoilt early on, not having to put up with the darks days, the relegations, the selling-club mentality. If you were born in the early to mid-eighties and only really got switched on to football and NUFC at the begining of the KK era you must have though it was always going to be like that: the entertainers, everyone's second favourite team; exciting, record breaking signings; brilliant attacking football. Likewise, anyone who had their eyes opened to the game in the Robson era must've thought top four or five, challenging the big boys for the trophies and in the transfer market, playing in europe happened every season. No wonder its a bitter pill to watch this shower of shite now. I can't say I'm like at all and I was born in '85. I can vaguely remember the days of Ossie being manager, but I grew up knowing how lucky we were as my dad, grandad and the rest of the family drilled it into me that it wasn't always like that and to appreciate it while it lasted. I'm not tarring everyone with the same brush Jonny, and I know your football knowledge is better than most. I'm just saying that a fair few who arrived with the 'good times' are going to have to grin and bear it if they want to put up with the lean times. Or they could always fuck off... And Fop, I agree with you (for once), I can't understand the number of apologists, particularly on N-O.

Woodgate-esque.

A 'friend' of soccerman and 80s casual perhaps?
-
Should ask him to forgive and forget. "Charles Amnesia".
-
I'd stand by this:
-
When did he last have a decent game? The '06-'07 season wasn't it?
-
I had one of them as well. They were made by Funky Junkie or something. De La Soul and Ian Brown had them
-
The kid must be a youngun because no one started wearing diadora till the early 90's. Sergio Tacchini or adidas Gazelle would've been more appropriate. I still wear Gazelles now. Cool as fuck, me like. First Diadora's I can remember were the Seb Coe's, must've been about '87-'88.
-
Anyone want to give odds on Soccerman and 80s casual being the same person?

Or Madrid, Woodgate passed a medical there remember. Shame they've got previous with M.O
