  1. The first half of the race was exciting I thought: Alonso cutting through the field (with some excellent in-car footage), the safety car sessions throwing the tyre strategy into the air, cars getting out of shape and perilously close to the barriers. The second half, things settled down and it was a bit more staid.
  2. I'd go along with that, other than Hockenheim, which was basically 3 massive straights joined together by chicanes. I'd add Interlagos which has a lovely selection of slow & fast corners, long straights and dips & rises. Suzuka fits that criteria as well, more of a challenge than Fuji.

  4. That's why I resurrected the thread tbh. We can now compare Keegan's only full season in the second division with Hughton's....and Hughton's done better. It's comparing cheese with cheese. Finest matured Stilton vs. Dairylea Dunkers tbh.
  5. He should do. It got stuck under one of the Hispania cars and flew out in the tunnel. Could have been nasty.
  6. Hopefully it will be England winning it in South Africa, rather than South Africans winning it for England.
  7. I've no idea. I was just imagining Schumacher's face when he heard a stewards panel including Damon Hill had demoted him out of the points. He was quizzed about it (Damon being a steward) before the penalty was announced. Michael's response? "He's (Damon) a good guy... I don't expect a penalty." We just need JFV to be steward at Canada now...
  8. I suppose it could be said it's karma for Schumacher avoiding that stop-go penalty on the last lap at Silverstone by crossing the line to win in the pit-lane.

  10. To sell papers? Obviously. Bunch of twats the lot of them, sky were reporting that he 'accused' the spanish and russians of bribery. I dont think you can make an accusation of bribery in a private conversation. Just wish someone with gravitas and dignity would hold the British tabloids accountable for their short-sighted and purely financially motivated actions. You'd need a Sir Bobby to really take them to task though. Remember the abuse he suffered from the '88 Euros to Italia '90?
  11. Harsh on Schumi imo (and I'm avid tifosi), but the thought of Damon handing down the penalty and the reaction when the Mercedes team heard does make me smile.

  13. Well, the Mail won't want any dirty foreigners coming here will they? Leaving his mobile phone number on the images is a classy touch too.
  14. Daft thing to say - you can be sure IF he was put up for sale there would be PLENTY of takers. He is not a world beater - granted, but he has a grat deal of promise and PACE - and with the woefully light existing strikeforce inc' one who should not be there - Best, it is ridiculous to think of loaning him out UNLESS of course CH has a loan signing or permanent signing in mind. Also bear in mind what the late SBR said of Lovenkrands - not good enough for the PL - and tbf - SBR knew his stuff. Whatever. It would be better for the lad if he went on loan to somewhere like Doncaster, or Bristol or Hartlepool or even back to Southampton (if they'd have him) and played week in, week out, gaining experience and toughness in competitive games. It would be better for us if he came back better, stronger and smarter rather than kicking his heels in the stiffs or travelling with the team and sitting on the bench (if he's lucky) every week.
  15. He's not going to pull up any trees in the PL even if he does get a game. Let him play regularly in the Championship or League One, see if he sinks or swims.
  16. Oh look, footage of Bridget turning up for her first Labour press conference:
  17. I hope a journalist pulls Carragher up about his 'I didn't mind missing a penalty for England, but I'd hate to miss one for liverpool' comment in his book.
  18. Feel a bit sorry for Forest, and Billy Davies in particular. They are suffering for not buying in the January window. ARE YOU LISTENING MIKE ASHLEY? Ashley bought in the January window. Don't feel sorry for Forest at all, Camp is a cunt. Dead-chuffed for Blackpool, doubt they'll go up but it'd be quality if they do. Holloway is a top character. The point is he's not going to buy this summer (or in the foreseeable future).
  19. Yes, but think how much of the debt we'll have paid off [/N-O]
  20. Phil Jagielka unlucky too, but I suppose he has been out for a long time.
  21. Micah Richards was first choice RB 2 years ago, nowhere even near the provisional 30 now. He must hate Capello. I wonder if Carragher will huff off again if Capello brings him on at RB in one of the warm-up games.

  23. He's probably testing the bed already. Hope Brown left a big massive shit in the fridge or something, Only came back to this thread to post I wonder if Gordon left a big turd in the toilet at no.10 before he left. I know I would.
