Bono's back surgery puts U2 dates in jeopardy

They'd have to be surgically removed. -
Career-threatening with any luck.

Quite impressed. The collar aside, a pretty decent attempt at a simple design. I bet the back will be all/mostly black though.

No, I'm with you on that one. -
It's not released until after the World Cup so that's 12th July at the very earliest. I suppose some spy shots could surface before that though.

If you really want to see them Fish, quote Billy's posts and copy & paste the urls from them. If you do that then re-open this page they'll be there. Probably not worth it in hindsight mind

So fuck Or ring-fence the money so it can only be used for renewable energy projects or something. Making shit up on the fly like this, you should go for RHMP KN! My other deficit-busting pitch is legalising brothels. Build them on industrial estates, give the hookers regular health checks and free counselling, maybe the punters too. And tax the shit out of it. Let the government be your pimp!

The Jon Snow near poland street in Soho is a good Sam Smith drinker (if you don't mind some of the arty types who get in there). Dangerous mind at £2.20 odd a pint. I was in the Sam Smiths pub opposite the gates to Harewood House a few weeks back. It was lunchtime and I had the car, so I had a pint of mild. £1.36! One pound thirty fucking six for a pint in 2010! And the barmaid said it had just gone up a couple of pence because of the budget. Staff were nice, place was a pleasant old school boozer and their seemed to be a few friendly locals.

To sell papers? Obviously. Bunch of twats the lot of them, sky were reporting that he 'accused' the spanish and russians of bribery. I dont think you can make an accusation of bribery in a private conversation. Just wish someone with gravitas and dignity would hold the British tabloids accountable for their short-sighted and purely financially motivated actions. You'd need a Sir Bobby to really take them to task though. Just remind me which sunday paper carried Bobby's column

I think most responsible cyclists do cover their bikes on house insurance and may have some kind of third party cover which is registration of a kind. (And of course car road tax comes nowhere near covering the actual costs of roads anyway) You're way off base. The government has averaged £38 billion per annum over the last ten years in road user taxation (vehicle tax, fuel duty etc.) whilst spending an average £15 billion per year over the same period on all of transport (roads, rail, aviation, tube, tram, the lot). Thinking about it, a cycling road tax would be difficult to enforce. And if it was for a relatively modest amount (say £25 or under) most of it would go on its own administration. My new great idea is a £25 tax on all new pushbikes sold in this country. Simple to administer and impossible to avoid. You can have that one on me Mr Osbourne.

Makes no difference if you're already a driver: if you had two cars you'd have to pay road tax on both of them. I've been saying for a while, if the government needs to raise extra revenue to pay off the deficit, tax cyclists.

Frankie Boyle Ticket for Tonight (Saturday) Spare

Hardcore set, out of an hour and a quarter, maybe 10 or 15 mins suitable for television. Support act was decent too.
