  1. Liverpudlian socialism is a laugh at best. Has been for over a century, why should we expect any different from their current state of power - a German. Lampard was right. "Only league title you've ever fucking won, and you're given it the big one..." (*He won Bundesliga with Dortmund) Ever since Klopp won that title he's become totally intolerable moaning prick. Liked him, his team, his football - but very quickly gone off him the last year because he's just become a bad loser. Total prick. #MourinhoAnfield
  2. This is what likes of Arsenal, Man U, Spurs, even Everton Leicester have been saying for past 5+ years... Spurs were in a piss with Conte for being 3rd, and are in a sour piss still being 3rd - after being beaten. Next season we are not 2/3 players away from being proper scary, we are 5ish players into the side so we don't have to rely on 15-20+ games from Championship level players like Dummett/Murphy/Manquillo/Krath/Lascelles/Darlow/Fraser/Wood. We may be in top 4, but the season isn't over, less than a third in - and Paul Dummett is still registered to play. I love the excitement, but I hate seeing the the 'one-hand-on-throphy' mentality some fans have, especially the arrogance it's given with. Love the fact we are 4th! It's ours to throw away regarding contention, but I don't think we can be 4th after 38 games. Longer we are 4th, the longer we have a shot, and if we do fall off, we get Europe. Top 10 was my goal this season!
  3. Would have taken him over Howe at the time, but by god has Howe exceeded expectations. Understand why he turned us down - relegation, near rock bottom, squad full of Championship/Ashley crap. Why would you turn down Champions League for the position we were in? Especially considering the rumour we approached when he was "in-camp" for a CL game. By end of January, Aston Villa's squad will be build from Smith, Gerrard, Emery (Bruce too). No way can Emery work with the situation of Aston Villa over the next 18months-2 years if he couldn't at Arsenal. Working in Spain is a lot clearer for managers like Emery - they come into clubs, and work together with directors to build squads alongside agents. Aston Villa fans think Emery can gel Tyron Mings, McGinn, and Coutinho along with Leon Bailey and Watkins and Ings to get them into Europa League - on the basis Emery wins Europa Leagues. Failing to dig deeper.
  4. The fuckinkg shite that Sky and Talksport about young English managers Eddie Howe and Simon Ferry
  5. Genuinely gave me a smile when I saw this picture.
  6. A 'top 6' side in Italy could be a perfect move for him. He's not such a horrid footballer that many like to think - not unimaginable to think that he'd sign for Napoli/Atalanta are score 30+ for a season. Would take him back here in a heartbeat for £40Mish + Chris Wood. People enjoy disliking Mitro, but his goalscoring record stands up for a mid-table PL forward; he's managed to score enough goals for Serbia, often against top nations. Fortunately England haven't had to play Serbia for last 5 years - Mitro and his Serbia lads would have loved a game against England.
  7. Adel Taarabt playing holding midfield for Benfica in the CL is the perfect example, Joelinton to CM too - it's an example that all footballers are human, and footballers careers are held at one man's ability to manage people. Bruce couldn't coach, or manage people.
  8. Spent 3 weeks every pre-season in Portugal for last 25 years...
  9. Fair play to him for winning a Ballon d'Or - but look at the list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_Ballon_d'Or Numerous club legends, and icons. Khan/Bayern - Totti/Roma - Raul/Real - Larsson/Celtic Even looking at the players that didn't get a vote that year, Michael Owen doesn't belong in their realm. (Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved) Sammi Hyppia got 0 votes, but will always be loved by Liverpool fans. Michael Owen won Ballon d'Or and nobody gives a shit.
