That interview brings it home that the club is run by people with no feeling or passion for the club, the fans or its history. Its all about "value" ie making money. We've become a club with no joy or soul.

I wonder if Good and Lascelles were earmarked to come into the 1st team squad next year. Good was highly rated iirc but has been injured forever. Everyone seems to be saying Lascelles is crap. Williamson is like a curse. We will never be free of him unless Carver pisses on each corner flag, or something.

Unless you're Mike Ashley I dont think it really matters how much time you're prepared to give Garde. Judging by Pardew, he (or whoever else is signed) will get as long as they want, provided they don't rock the boat or get us relegated.

I think we're nearly at the point now where we need a "new manager bounce". 3 defeats and a draw under Carver already.....losing is becoming a habit. I don't think there will be any January signings to give the team a lift either.

I may be doing Carver a disservice here, and I have no evidence for this, but I imagine he's similar to Peter Reid in management style ie less about tactics/formations and more about 'fucking getting into them'. Which is met by bemused pouty indifference by the French contingent.
