I think if the players think they'll piss it and turn up with the same attitude as last season, then we'll end up with nothing like 92 points. The biggest thing imo is the players attitude so any shirkers like Sissoko need to be shipped out and pronto. Squidward and Marveux were a good start but theres plenty more gutless fuckers who need binning before next season.

They were massively lucky Defoe stayed fit this season given his age and fitness record. They'd have been down without his goals.

Charnley will count the toilet rolls and run the stationery cupboard but any significant decisions will require Ashleys approval. The question is whether he has sufficient nous and authority on footballing matters to push Ashley to get the right outcomes. I doubt it but then Ashley probably only wants a super loyal yesman anyway

Yeah good read. So many poor decisions - mclaren, coloccini, no proven striker brought in, delay on rafa etc. A useful case study in how to get relegated. The only one missing is the constant unexplained injury crisis thats dogged us for seasons now.

It's a shame that expectations are so low (at both our clubs). Tbh I think if Rafa leaves most of us on here won't give a shit about next season. Allardyce might do a good job for you but don't bank on it.....he bought some horrendous players for us and played some of the worst football I've ever seen us play, Carver included.

It's nice to see how caring the club is about its employees, shortly before it lays off half of them. The players and directors should be made to say sorry to each one of them when that happens, but no doubt they will just get a text.

Charnley can short circuit the "review" of what went wrong by resigning without further delay. He won't do that because it would involve taking responsibility and being decisive.
