  1. Torres can stay, his banter is minimal but it barely passes. The other nobody is long, long past his sell-by date. Tom do the right thing lad.
  2. I like how A) yesterday the figure for Smith was 1.5mil and there's now two (admittedly unreliable) sources running the story. Tomorrow do you think it'll be 6mil and 4 papers?
  3. Presumably he's worried about an Indian takeaway He's either getting into a pickle or this story has been roganjoshing all along. Is he sick of the press having a poppadim? Not being one to curry favour
  4. Mum!! Mum!!! guess what Danny did!! Fucking hell mate, grow up. If you dont like it, dont read it. I have a better idea - you piss off so I'll never have to read it again. Really, nobody wants you here. You contribute nothing. It's time you were on your way. Or maybe you can explain why you would post something about Spurs - a club no-one on here except you supports - winning some friendly cup.
  5. Wow, this looks familiar...Danny posting meaningless Spurs shite on a Newcastle forum. Admins, time to pull the plug I think.
  6. And it has it's good and bad points - more supporters generate cash and so on but they're gloryhunting pricks at the same time. It's just inevitable. I find what you're saying quite funny though because you don't seem to realise that the way you go on here is exactly what defines you as such. Makes you come across as an attention-seeking kid as well. That's absolute twaddle about me and the local thing btw. I seriously doubt you could back it up either. I wouldn't even try ... it's the way your posts come across to a 'non local'. I know by now what is thought of people who are not 'locals' so it isn't a surprise anymore. If 'locals' don't agree with you they call you 'plastic' an 'OTT' or a 'kid' because it makes them feel more secure, more entitled, completely ignoring the fact of course that the club is owned by a 'non local' and most of the best players are 'non local' and one of their biggest objectives is to qualify for a 'non local' competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... see the irony. They have no global outlook ... yet expect the club to play in Europe. Never thinking how useful it is to have fans abroad to support you in tricky away games. There's small town cunts forya. Maybe you haven't seen our away support? Take the Inter away game for example. We nearly had more in the stadium than they did. When we talk about "local" we mean the kind of relationship a club should have with its community, the kind of thing that is slowly being killed off by Sky, the "global brand" of the Premier League, and the like. Don't know why I'm bothering to discuss this with you though - you're plastic, but you're just short of being plastic enough to be oblivious. So you've got a huge chip on your shoulder about not being a proper fan, which is why you try to stroke your ego on these boards and spout this shite about us being "small town." It's pathetic.
  7. What. The. Fuck!? If he's worth £7 million i'm worth half of that. Atleast. TBH I thought the lad was under the age of 25! christ I didn't know he was 29...scrap that! That said, I'd still have him if it were on the cheap.
  8. I'd take him all the same. He's bound to be more creative than our current crop of clowns and cloggers. @Besty: Did I get whooshed? Haven't heard any reports about Derdiyok in a while, although I'd like to.
  9. Should we be in for him? I expect the nameless club is in fact West Ham, and we're doing well on the defender front, but he's a decent player and I wouldn't turn my nose up. Thoughts?
  10. Any further word on this yet? Heard some rumbles about Colloccini being on SSN, but nothing else for some time...
  11. Can you believe those neanderthals are serious? Glad some of them have the sense to laugh.
  12. Que? we've signed him for 11million euros plus a potential of 1mil more for something or other Don't know if it's relevant, but the first paragraph of that article claims it's 11 million dollars, and the second, 11mil euros. The comments below are also fairly encouraging, all of them wishing him luck and the latest comment says, "Great for him. Nobody ever had faith in him when selecting and now he's off to the world's greatest league."
  13. Arse in for Inler at 10mil, guess we know why he turned us down. I also see Zenit want 24mil for Arshavin now. The way they're going on they'll never sell him.
  14. Oh ye of little faith... Can't believe that it's 31 July and some of you have already given up the cause. We've made 3 signings, we're in for a fourth and I think we'll have more developments as the window progresses. That's what "progressing" means. There's still plenty of time for us to identify targets and bring them in, and I'd rather we had a methodical way of doing this than panic buys and the chairman buying whoever he likes. Remember, two of our better signings last season came on deadline day.
  15. So what happened Danny? No earthquake? That's from 19 July.
  16. Very excited about this development. All this Chicken Little nonsense about wage bills and no backing is just that - nonsense. Keegan has been given the funds to go after players he wants, such as Aimar (didn't happen but nevertheless we were in for him) and now this Coloccini. Hope it doesn't come to a Webster move but I wouldn't say no if it did, Coloccini looks to have some steel in him and he would be a great addition to our back line. I saw the 7-8mil amount being bandied about and I think he'd be great value at that price.
  17. Another vote for "ban." I think we have a winner!
  18. Quite possibly the daftest rubbish I've read in ages. Congrats! Do you care to actually try to counter anything I posted? I've noticed that to be one of your critical failings. You disagree with any criticism but you can never say why. Simple. Because it`s rubbish. Why would anybody counter such trash. Can you give any definitive evidence that: Benitez has mounted a serious title challenge; Liverpool shouldn't be pushing for higher than 4th; Liverpool don't rely on one or two key players (Gerrard, Torres) while the others are perhaps not title quality? I'm afraid "it`s rubbish" isn't a defence. Silence gives consent. If you can't answer the allegations, I guess you think they're true after all? 'Silence gives consent ' is the kind of logic one would expect a child abuser to use; it in no way validates your point. Team always rely on key players ... hardly rocket science. Rafa has taken us to 3 CL semi finals in 4 years, has assembled a good strong squad with lots of quality despite taking over the shambles Houllier left behind (with modest financial support). It needs a little tweeking and one or two additions (keane and Barry) and we're off. You've made a fool of yourself. It finally got you to give some semblance of an answer. And looking like a fool in your eyes can only be a positive thing, trust me. So, you didn't answer either of the first two, and for the third question I was hoping you might compare your squad to, let's say Man U or Chelsea and explain to me how Liverpool measures up comparatively. 4 years later you're still no closer to the title. I'd say you've taken a backwards step. Is this the Liverpool you envision - a team who does well in cup competitions and can't handle the long haul of a title challenge? You're totally irrational. The club in general has made great progress under Rafa. Would you sack a manager that has generated so much revenue and reached 3 CL semi finals in 4 years, has worked wonders with the youth system and is still quite young. You look like a fool to anybody who knows their arse from their elbow. So, like I said, the club hasn't progressed domestically at all. "So much revenue" may be great for the owners but I look at Liverpool and think they could be doing so much more. And Benitez is holding you back. Don't worry though, he won't be around much longer.
  19. Voted for Moyes. He's done with Everton what we've hoped every manager since SBR could do for us.
  20. Spurs will laugh all the way to the bank if that figure is true. Again, Sunderland have more money than sense.

  22. Poor player, not even good enough for Spurs. Without a shadow of a doubt we can do better - in fact we already have better.
  23. Actually, it spells out "God" in Arabic. If there's one thing that really gets to me, it's people saying Allah like it's somehow different from God. You don't say French pray to Dieu, or Germans to Gott, do you? So why do Arabs have to pray to Allah? And I think more than one piece of meat is suspicious tbh, if it was just one it might be a coincidence, more than one seems to show design. In all probability, the restauraunt owner trying for some publicity.
