Newcastle and Hearts on top table after G14 break-up
acrossthepond replied to Tom's topic in Newcastle Forum
Appearently we're going upmarket and preparing a 25million bid for David Villa. Now that would be great if it came off. Your lot are so broke you want 20mil for Crouch and tried to barter some nobodies to us for Milner and Finnan and some others for Barry, but you've got 25mil to bid for David Villa? 18mil out for Barry - 10mil in for Crouch...you're still down 8mil. Where's this money going to come from? -
How are these CL clubs so skint they have to ask 20mil for Crouch and 36mil for Adebayor? Do they honestly think there's someone out there who will pay that? Jo for 18mil is hilarious also. More money than sense, Man City.

Howay man, at least fire something better out than that if you're going to try and be a WUM. No WUMing here fella, just amazed at all the "I was out of it for a week" stuff. Its a jippy tummy, get over it. Do you and Torres have some sort of pact going on? It seems every time one of your crack gets better, the other's gets worse. Piss off, will you? I can't believe we've tolerated you this long, you were a WUM from the start.

Saviola joined Madrid for the express purpose of sitting on their bench and collecting mega money. He'll want similar money if he comes here and I can't see him being anything but another mercenary.

Newcastle and Hearts on top table after G14 break-up

Fuck me. That one is going in my sig. Do you really mean that? Do you really think because you got a wild card to this meeting that you are punching with the Milans, Madrid and Barcas? HAHAHA That is without fail the most delusional thing I have ever heard. Bar none. We do sit round the table with them you tosser. FACT. That's the whole point of this group. Where did I ever say we were on a level with them? In fact I made sure not to imply any such thing, predicting your response. We are miles away from them. And your sad lot are even further away. When was the last time such teams as Inter, Barcelona, and Juventus were seen at White Hart Lane? -

You're talking shite Danny. The only thing that matters is winning? Our CL seasons mean nothing? As they say, you can't win it if you aren't in it. Which Spurs have never been. As for finishing runners up in the league not mattering, if you finished second in the league this season you and the ten or so north Londoners who aren't supporting the vastly more successful Arsenal would be squealing with joy. NUFC = 5th biggest club in England. We sit round the table with Milan, Madrid, Barca, and the elite clubs of Europe. Tottenham Hotspur don't even register on their radar, League Cup or no two-bit aluminum foil cup. -

Our little hometown club, all grown up -
Haway man! Now that's the kind of news you want to read before heading off to work. I'll be walking with a skip in my step all day. Typical KK to bring us an out-of-the-blue signing - and great that he's identified we needed help on the wings. Really excited - who will he come up with next?

Head today, gone tomorrow?
-
Not asking for an invite, Fish lad, but would you mind explaining what this business is exactly? A sort of MMO for FM?

Podolski's there, but as a midfielder. And I'd definitely swap Semih for Torres, who really contributed very little but is on there because he scored the winning goal on the final (oh by the way did you hear he plays in England? For Liverpool?) Sneijder went missing (actually he didn't just go missing, he actively contributed to his team's defeat with his awful wastes of possession) in his side's most important game too...which incidentally was the one in which Arshavin was earning his place in this selection.

Bolded #1 = :D Bolded #2 =
-
None of the bolded belong. I'd also have Boruc instead of VdS, who didn't really distinguish himself I thought. Holland's wins were comfortable and their loss was abject, the keeper didn't have much say in either, I thought, whereas Boruc singlehandedly kept Poland from being a laughingstock.

We know by now that time knows how to fly... Seriously, though, there must be some way we can terminate his contract now.

If the no vote is somehow discounted it's essentially a message that Ireland's voice is not relevant, and by extension, that Ireland is not important to and not welcome in the EU. That'll really inspire confidence in all of the smaller, less powerful European countries currently taking part in the EU, as well as the rest of non-EU Eastern Europe. It's not "democracy" when it only works if everyone goes along with the big boys. "Majority rules" is part of democracy - another part is everyone's voice being heard.

Look, I don't condone any of this Jew business and I think it should stop immediately. We're better than that as fans and as individuals. Danny, no problems with you, however, your welcome will very shortly be worn out if you don't stop posting Spurs transfer and team news like any of us care in the least. This is a Newcastle board. Discuss our club or get lost, to be brutally blunt. Nobody cares if your lot signed some two-bit keeper.

I just don't understand this Nazi association you're drawing with Iran. Similarities: Iran and Nazi Germany both arbitrarily "rediscovered" their national identities. Iran and Nazi Germany are both ruled* by charismatic lunatics. Differences: Unlike Nazi Germany, Iran has no plans of world domination, is carrying out no genocides, is not preparing a massive military buildup with thoughts of invading neighbors. Unlike Nazi Germany, where one (charismatic lunatic) man had supreme power, Iran's political decision-making power is concentrated in a democratically elected political body and a traditional religious body. Rather think the differences outweigh the similarities, wouldn't you say? I also think you're barking up the wrong tree as regards supply for terrorist attacks. If you want to find the real bankrollers, look past Iran, who want nothing to do with Sunni-based terror groups such as al-Qaida or al-Aqsa, but point yourself towards Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. * - Ahmadinijad is not the ruler of Iran and it's safe to discount almost everything he says. His purpose is to draw attention away from the mullahs, who make the decisions in that country. It appears to be working.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Loads and loads of absolute nonsense in this thread. I didn't want to get involved here but then I see comparisons of Iran to Nazi Germany, and Ahmadinijad to Bush and I want to laugh and laugh. Iran's nuclear weapons are not to be used on anyone. That would defeat the point of having them. No, Iran wants nukes not to destroy Israel, as the fearmongers would have you believe, but to destroy Israel's dominance of the region. For decades, as someone wisely pointed out in this thread, Israel has dominated foreign policy in the Middle East. As the only significant military power in the region, and the only nuclear power, Israel's (and thus the USA's) rule in the area is unquestioned. Iran is trying to question it - so they must be the enemy, planning Armageddon, preparing a new nuclear winter. Nuclear proliferation in the Middle East - of course it will happen, and in our lifetimes. All of the authoritarian regimes of the ME saw what happened to Iraq. They know the only way to avoid a similar fate but still carry on their mandate is to acquire nukes. Bottom line - Iran is no more a threat to the West than Hershey's Milk Chocolate. Don't believe everything you watch or read...and believe nothing you read on whatever loony bin website produced that "scenario" seen above

Some canny lasses this year like - but not Ms Mars Bar there. That's meant to be who England's hopes ride on? I hoped she beat Williams, though, never known such a pair of tosserettes as the Williams sisters.

Good to see Sam Allardyce never surrenders. No, Sam Allardyce holds his head high, and never blames Sam Allardyce for the shit job he did here, because Sam Allardyce has stayed standing his whole life. Get to shit you fat useless waster. Ruled yourself out of the running? I hear Plymouth might have an opening soon, maybe that'll be about his level - that's if he doesn't "rule himself out of the running" there too.

The thing was, it was simulation from Holland, would've been an injustice if he'd booked the defender. Good decision by a top ref - don't suppose we can get him English citizenship and send him off to the Premier League? Amazing performance by Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko, we'll never get either now though.
-
You`d struggle in any language (and of course you only speak one) . Don`t lecture me on English when you don`t even know how to use capital letters properly. As for tearing apart my theories............you simply lack the intellect. Don`t even try, you`ll simply make an even bigger tool of yourself. Fish bomb in 5,4,3,2,1,.... Good call. I agree that for the Premier League to be the best league in the world it needs the best players, of which Ronaldo is surely one. But I certainly won't shed any tears when he does, best league or not.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7465201.stm Fop man, when it comes to Islam you don't half talk shite. When are you going to realize there's no such thing as this nebulous "jihad" you're talking about? There's a few loons who prey on the weak-minded in every culture and every society. People like them have always existed, and although the most recognizable may be operating under the name of Islam at this point in time, there's quite a few in Europe who fly the banner of insular national identity...which is really exactly like Islamist extremism without the religious rhetoric. Enoch Powell, anyone? Yes, the threat from groups such as al-Qaida is real. But notions that the Muslims are coming into our prisons and "radicalizing" the inmates, recruiting them to be soldiers of "jihad" is a ridiculous bogeyman and a grown man should no more believe it than he believes monsters are under the bed.
