  1. SHOLAAAAAAA! Good effort for the second part of the first half. Sad that we can't show that effort before they score a goal. Ameobi's been great since the goal, that flick to Duff was the best we've seen of him in years. Speaking of Duff, he's been absent. COME ON LADS!
  2. Posts: 1605 You signed up after me and have nearly twice as many posts as me. 1604 defending Spurs from incorrect obsessive remarks from NUFC fans on here. "From NUFC fans on here?" This is a NUFC board you nimrod. You talk as though it's a Spurs one. Review the posts on this board before you joined and you will notice that while we occasionally poke fun at Spurs (usually in our match threads when we play you) we "obsess" over them no more than we do over any other non-Mackem club. It's only since you joined and made such a jackass of yourself that we've taken to attacking Spurs.
  3. We'll scrape it. Kinnear will be fired up at the chance of making his first win a victory over the SMB and he'll rally the troops. Very little football will be played though, probably 0-1 to us.
  4. Are you serious? Out of all the places in the world and you come up with that one? Bergamo is a fantastic place, way better than Milan in my humble opinion. New York's bitter shit equivalent is Newark btw Stevie. Philadelphia is like 2.5 hours away. You probably won't have heard of it and you definitely don't want to go there - crime capital of the USA.
  5. Look at fixtures fucking hell....Look at them P8 W0 D2 L6 now. Look at their next four games Bolton H Arsenal A Liverpool H Man City A now the very very best case scenario of this is they will get to game 13 with this record P12 W1 D2 L9 Pts 5 Looking further in to the future their last three away games are Man Utd, Everton and Liverpool last day.....it really would be class, superb even. Was it here or the Tottenham board where someone said that even the fixtures were laughing at them? Still funny though While we're talking about QPR, anyone notice this little segment? Do we notice a trend of bad starts to the season and interfering board members screwing up the managers' plans?
  6. Sounds like lies to me. I'd love it - love it - if it came true, but I am keeping my feet 100% on the ground on this one. Too much disappointment already this season.
  7. Kinda like when you talk about Newcastle really Not really. I am a scholar of the game. I have forgotten more about football than most on here will ever know. You ought to be on stage like.
  8. Some of the best news all season tbh. Just goes to show how shit the season has been.
  9. Aye, one of them goes by the name Park Life. It's been dissected ad nauseam, probably on this board as well, but nevertheless: I wouldn't say 9/11 was "orchestrated" by the USA but I fully believe they knew about the attacks in advance and intentionally did nothing. Cue Fop running along to tell me what an Islamofascist I am, trying to spread vicious propaganda about the free world.
  10. What did you want to know? Is Boruc shite? Of course he is for a lot of the reasons I've illustrated in this thread. Wanted to know if you were going to back down on your ridiculous comment about my thoughts on Boruc being controlled by the media where I live. Is there any reason why States media would try to tell me that Boruc is a good keeper? And, on a separate point, I still maintain that he's not nearly as shit as you say. Decent keeper, not in the same league as Given or other top keepers by any means but hardly the "abysmal" keeper you're making him out to be.
  11. Didn't even bother to answer me I see. I'll consider that apology accepted.
  12. Have a word. The "media" doesn't tell me anything that I can't see with my own two eyes about Boruc. Notice I never say anything about him being better than Given, world class, any of that. What I did say is that he was class for Poland at Euro 2008 - he was - and that doesn't deserve the slagging you gave him - he doesn't. Back down Stevie man. You're plainly wrong here, location or no. But I suppose the many games you've attended at Parkhead give you better insight into his true skills?
  13. Boruc was a class act for Poland in the Euro. Don't think he deserves quite the slagging you're giving him here tbh.
  14. I'd have him now to be honest. Think the sig conveys my thoughts accurately on the subject. Won't happen though so wish him luck for his CL campaign and when (if?) Ashley ever ships out I hope he gives us a call.
  15. Never looked like offering anything to the team in any of his appearances, here or at Preston. I'd ship him out, not a Premier League quality player.
  16. never was a penna like. Just take a look at that article. What a load of shite. They even call Beye a midfielder FFS. "Sportsmail understands" my backside. ATP understands that Sportsmail is bollocks of the highest order.
  17. Said all along that he was a permanent appointment. I know this is easy for me to say living where I do but it seems like a lot of the fervency has gone out of our anti-Ashley feelings. Seems we've - as a whole, not saying everybody - accepted Ashley's line about selling and have settled down, just like he wanted us to. Meanwhile he's getting no closer to the door and we're getting no closer to ending the cockney grip on the club.
  18. Laughable decision on the penalty, 2-2 with 10 men is more than we could've expected. I hope Joe realises that this is the small potatoes though and he's got quite a job to do in time for the Mackems. Shola actually looks like he wants it for once, and he has a proven goal-scoring record against Sunderland. Another result to build on and a win on Saturday will clear most of the gloom at the club, I'd say. Can you believe that Danny B is still trying to talk shit about us after Spurs lost to Stoke City, leaving his club marooned at the foot of the Premier League despite spending more than 70 million pounds in the transfer window and having a tactical genius and double UEFA cup winning manager as well as winning the League Cup last year. I mean really. Have some dignity.
  19. Varying levels of fitness make this a potential draw, loss, or battering for me. I'll post again once I see the match squad.
  20. Yup, he was convicted of sexual assault (several times) and rape (and two other reports of it), so no chance. As a completely amateur psychiatrist, I think however despicable sexual assaults or rapes obviously are, they show a different line of interest in someone than knocking on their door and shooting them dead. Amatuer being the right word. As a stalker / rapist he is motivated by feelings of power over his victims. As a stalker he could feel he is emotionally attached to his stalkee. If at any time he feels betrayed by his stalkee by her getting engaged perhaps then feelings of vengence could motivate him to commit straight murder. I think I saw that. CSI Miami? I cant imagine Horatio Caine saying that like, far too scientific. CSI Miami shows in the UK? Terrible show, just an excuse for that ginger bastard to stand with his hands on his hips and fix his glasses a thousand times an episode while bikini-clad women parade about because, well, it's Miami and obviously every woman in Miami is hot and wears nothing but a bikini all day long. Just the kind of crap that many people here lap up though.
  21. If they won two they would be 17th I think, on 8 points. Depending on other results, I mean.
  22. Oh and Ramos is finished now. I expect he's packing his bags as we speak.
  23. 2-1 FT. Tottenham can win two and still be bottom. They are truly in freefall now. Shocking tackle by Dawson, never mind this "he got the ball" business, his studs were five inches off the ground. This result just makes the City game even more massive.
  24. Red for Dawson. This game is fast descending into farce.
