  1. Of course, there's always the chance that it's only the papers that have noticed we lack in those departments and Hughton's got nothing to do with it. I've doubted for a while now that he has anything to do with player recruitment.
  2. Can't find a timestamp on it, but sites have only started to report it today, so I'm guessing it's from today. Says that Klaus Allofs told Sat.1, which is a German tv station (I think) the quote I gave.
  3. And Werder's sporting director has ruled out a move for Ben Arfa: "We do not need a replacement for Mesut. While we always look for players to improve ourselves, Ben Arfa is not one of them." Fingers crossed.
  4. I could see that happening, unfortunately. Let's hope it's just made up at this point.
  5. Let's hope for a few more. I know Danny is probably lurking and wanking himself silly as our anti-Spurs bias is finally proven, but I don't care. I fucking hate Spurs and I hope they crash and burn.
  6. I thought you'd taken the huff and flounced off? Would you kindly?
  7. I'll settle for 3-0. Bunch of patronising wankers on the telly here but there's one thing they're right about and that's that we should expect nothing from this fixture anyway. Carroll as a lone striker is simply not going to work unless players get up and support him. Sounds like a job for Ben Arfa, right...?
  8. Perch/Jonas have been bloody awful and Coloccini has reverted to type. Positives include Routledge looking good and...er, Enrique's been good? Another 2 for them and we'll call it a night, I think.
  9. This is one to watch from behind the couch, I think. I'll be conservative and say 4-0.
  10. Unfortunately he appeared to be doing a similar job for someone else when he was here. Which I think just makes him shit. Titus Bramble: Smoggie Secret Agent?
  11. Charlton U-17's could probably beat Wigan as things are right now. They look utterly lost, like they've never seen each other before and don't understand why they're standing on this big green rectangle and all wearing the same shirts. I'm sure their fans would be booing them if they weren't all at the rugby.
  12. Have had it since release day and I am terrible at it. Oh sure, beat the campaign easily enough, but when I play anything but zerg I get trounced. Doesn't help that my two-year-old machine isn't really quite good enough to handle it anymore but I get rolled every time I play terran/toss. How did you guys not know it's 1 game in three parts?
  13. Utterly rolled. The internets are serious business.
  14. I'm not sure he would, but I've said from day one that I'd have him back without thinking twice - actually, without even thinking once, it's that much of a no-brainer.
  15. When you're a professional and especially when you're in a position of authority over someone, you don't treat them like meat. If only she played along she'd have been a broker now instead of being jobless. As if her next boss is going to treat her any different. If only the darkies had played along they'd have lucrative positions in home management now. As if their next masters were going to treat them any different. Am I right?
  16. It was a thread solely designed so that you could once again refer to Man U as "United" and try to rile up those on here you know will react negatively to that. "Look at me" behaviour at its finest. Most kids have outgrown that by 10-11, but for those that don't, there's always t'internet. check the first post, i said man united. I love americans trying to think they know everything when it's a fact they're the dumbest country going. Do you know the meaning of the word irony? Reading your posts, I'm starting to wonder if they can give me heavy metal poisoning. Let me put this as plainly as possible. YOU ARE A TROLL.

  19. I was probably being kind to Milner. And tbh, I think Bellamy's had run-ins everywhere he's been which is the main reason he's never quite fulfilled his potential / had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus. I think he'd crawl a million miles over broken glass to sign for the toon me Bellamy, Id have him back. I think he'll make a brilliant manager one day fwiw. Concur with the middle bit, not so sure about the first bit and have definite reservations about the last bit Well he's talking about calling it a day completely if he doesn't get into their 25: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/8902161.stm Much too early for that. Still time to come back to SJP for 2 mil or so. How about it, Bellers?
  20. That would work for me. I get the feeling he's a lot better than Jonas, but that doesn't mean Jonas will be dropped for him.
  21. Thrilled with this signing (disclaimer: if it goes through.) Win-win situation: if he's good, we've agreed a price already so Marseille can't jack it up; if he's shite, we send him back. Can't think of any others atm - will he be the first arab to play for NUFC?
  22. More fuel to the fire: http://www.corrieredellosport.it/calcio/se...+un%27incognita I don't speak Italian but I do speak Spanish which is close enough, and if I'm not very mistaken it says "The Ghanaian was a target for Lazio, but surprisingly, Newcastle have made an offer to Portsmouth better than that of the Italian club." Says we've put in an offer of 6 million pounds while Lazio have offered 6.5 mil euros and Genoa, 5 mil euros, and it claims that AC Milan are trying to get Genoa to buy him and then loan him to Milan for the season.
  23. BBC gossip column linked us to KP Boateng today. Original story from "caughtoffside.com." No quotes or anything, just mentioned it because many on here have said they'd like to see him in black and white.
  24. Yeah, I'm done with him now too. I could've forgiven the original "united" as ignorance especially considering the appropriate reasoning he gave, but continuing to go out of his way to say it is obvious trolling.
  25. Neither does anyone except the official site. It's the presumption by Man U that they are the only noteworthy club known as "united" in the land that grates.
