I think the really telling point here is when Stevie/Gordon said that 3 years ago he'd have said about Milner all that you've said about Gosling. When Milner went we were happy to see him go (mainly because we were getting a major fee, although it was never to be re-invested) and we said he wasn't good enough, lacked end product, not fast enough, etc etc etc. Now he's played for England in the WC, won the Players' Young Player, and is going to move to Man City for mega money. Time will tell. How about we see Gosling play in a few games in black and white before we rush to conclusions on either side?

And you wonder why a lot of the country think the Geordie faithful to be massively deluded? You think at the moment Newcastle are a higher profile club than Everton?!! WTF?!!!!! You say that we dont have the infrastructure to suceed in the modern game, but Newcastle do? How about you make these statements in 5 years time once/if Ashley has left and your team have not only managed to stay in the premier league but then built upon that and advanced to such a stage that you are regularly finishing above Everton. "If the club is run right" ... Fuck me when has it EVER been run correctly?!! If its "making bold statements day" i'll throw my 2 pence worth in and say that "IF" Everton were bought out by a man with a decent amount of money and could afford to build us a new stadium Newcastle would NEVER be able to hold a candle to Everton! Our "infrastructure" in terms of little debt and and excellent squad means that we are already light years ahead of you on the pitch! Put in our history and heritage and you can quite frankly feck off lol! No offence to the more grounded supporters on here, but this guy is on some seriously mind warping drugs if he actually believes what he wrote lol! It's just Stevie man, he'd say we're better than Inter. But actually I agree that we are a higher profile club. The media focuses much more on us than on Everton. I realise that's because we are a soap opera/laughingstock, but that doesn't change the truth of what he said.

Very pleased with this signing. We still need more quality in midfield though.
-
He had a purple patch at the start of 07-08, scored 12 I think. He only scored 17 or 19 for Portsmouth in 70 games at the club, so that tells you about his scoring rate apart from those few months. Trash, always has been, I would like to think we wouldn't touch him.
-
Obviously just trolling now, I'd say give him the hoof. Not that I'm a big proponent of banning annoying twunts or anything.
-
Didn't look like this thread was about Liverpool v. Newcastle until you happened along, did it?
-
So, no answer to anything I said. Go watch some hockey indeed because you're clueless about this sport.
-
Can only hope he keeps it together off the pitch.

No it wasn't derailed at all. I just said that signing Sol Campbell was another sign of fallen standards. No that isn't "just" what you said though, is it Leazes? Are you saying Craig Moore is a better player than Campbell? If not, then how is it a sign of falling standards? who have we bought to the club who is better than those sold that I have named ? Are you going to take my bet or not ? You're offering me a bet that suggests I believe something that I clearly don't believe in. Your stupidity really has no limits. Ashley has signed Enrique for £6m, Colo for £10m. Widely accepted that these two are probably two of the best defenders we've had at the club since Bassong, who Ashley also signed. I don't think I could name 3 better defenders play for us in the entire period from when Keegan left the first time till the time Shepherd left. It's widely accepted by whom? Colo is gash. Have I missed something? People who go to the games Talking a load of shit again, Thompers? Not like you. Listen to you too. "One of the best defenders we've had at the club since Bassong." Oh, you mean one of the best defenders we've signed since summer 2008? Well, we've signed Williamson, Fitz Hall on loan, Danny Simpson, and James Perch since then, so aye, I agree that Colo is one of the best of them. Not exactly exalted company, like. "Ashley has signed Enrique, Colo and Bassong." Funny, I didn't realise that Ashley was now in the transfer negotiation process as well. He's a man of many talents. I don't think Colo is worth 10 million pounds and I don't think you have a very long memory if you don't remember how fucking terrible he was in 2008-2009. Aye, he looked class in the second division but I could name a hundred other players who looked good after getting relegated.

Happened to me. I was Fulham, was taken over, the new chairman said to be patient, I won all three of my next games and the 3rd one was a UEFA cup game against Hibs where I beat them 7-1 at home and I still got replaced. That was FM08 so maybe in 2010 it doesn't happen.
-
Nolan for me. He was captain of Bolton and hopefully he has got his drive back. I truly hope Smith won't be in the team (although of course we all know he will be), Harper is my second choice, and Taylor being captain would be a joke.
-
Now I can go and see him for under $25. Yay?
-
Forlan won't happen, no way Levy will pay out silly money for a player of that age bracket and he hyas already said he wants to stay in Spain. Bellamy is a funny one. We already have two streaky midget strikers in Defoe and Keane and two decent left sided options in Bale and Modric. Add to that his questionable attitude and I'm not sure I'd want him. I've missed you too by the way. Thought I read somewhere that Forlan had said he was open to offers from Tottingham. He'd be looking for a mega payout though at this stage of his career I'd imagine. So who do you want to buy? I would think CB would be a priority for you considering Woodgate and King are finished.
-
Fuck me senseless. This clown again. Well, at least you'll be good for something. What are your thoughts on 'Appy 'Arry's alleged moves for Bellamy and Forlan?
-
thats quite a title I liked Oba, wish we still had him I wish nothing but the worst for him. Just gotten the move he deserves. I.e. to oblivion. ...why? Because of how utterly unarsed he was when we were going down. Just couldn't be bothered about us. When Harper said he came into the dressing room at Villa Park and found players already on the phone to their agents getting moves, I think Martins will have been first on that list. It was all very well when it was backflips and getting his name sung, but when we ended up in a real scrap he was nowhere to be found. Like most of the squad that year.
-
Well, I have to say that I take no joy in this. The Spanish dove their way through the entire game. I can't count the number of times I saw Iniesta and Xavi rolling on the floor as though they'd been slain, only to find no contact on the replay. Webb was atrocious.
-
Well that was bloody awful. Let's hope extra time isn't more of the same. Can I just say that Howard Webb isn't fit to ref Crystal Palace v. Hull let alone the WC final. Utterly clueless.
-
Wish Forlan had scored that last free kick. Still a brilliant WC from him, he's a player at the very peak of form.

The Annual How's Your Other Team Doing Thread
acrossthepond replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Twat wanted him to move to the Bulls. http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html Cringeworthy. -
It'll be Villa if Spain win and Sneijder if the Dutch do, imo.
-
18th again.
-
Sign him up. Sounds genuinely the best free player we'd have a chance of getting in this transfer window.
-
He was class against us, can't say I know much else about him. He'll do for cover I suppose but I hope the Championship isn't the limit of our ambition.

Stevie's Waterloo? Why because you, another Asian and a lad from Burnley thought the ref had a good game? Because you're a racist cunt. How am I racist cunt for suggesting that in my opinion the referee was out of his depth YOU FUCKIN MASSIVE NOB. The only reason you're even suggesting that is because of your Asian heritage you fuckin arsehole. You're a bad as a scouser on the fiddler, or someone who cries rape when they haven't been. Indeed, anyone would have done the same in that situation, he rolled the dice, ultimately saved his team and will miss the biggest game his country have played in for 60 years. If a Ghana player had done it Chiles would be hailing his ingenuity. exactly "why do we do this to ourselves" he just said as if we're all fucking ghanain, just toss MD out of the studio and be impartial instead of a bunch of bandwagoning cunts If they'd got through to the semis, I guarantee Chiles would have blacked up for it. ahahahaha like Louie on Trading Places. A quick look at wiki states that he was voted best ref in Asia two years running. He otherwise referees in the Uzbek League, I've played for pub teams of better quality than some in that league no doubt, you can't have referees from minnow leagues refereeing games which could define a countries history. If Paraguay for example won the WC it would be the biggest achievement in the countries history, in any way shape or form, that's how big this competition is, again I use the example of Chelsea v Barcelona, Norwegian ref out of his depth, not used to high octane, high paced, high importance football, it's a total abomination of the sport asking someone to referee a life defining game in front of 1 billion people from a country with a monkey holding a melon slice upside down on its' flag. I'm not Asian, you racist cunt, but keep at it.
