  1. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6516756/2025/07/28/benjamin-sesko-newcastle-alexander-isak-analysis/ Just in case we actually get this deal done, here's a bit on what to expect.
  2. "the lad that got Southampton relegated". You're right though Craig, I'd put them all on a level with Steve Bruce.
  3. Yeah, we should check if Allison is available on loan with an option to buy. Good shout.
  4. Watkins has to be the more attractive option for them surely. They don't want another raw prospect after the Hojlund experiment.
  5. You want to get it on the big telly man.
  6. The Man United rumours as well. That Laurie Whitwell who works for the Athletic and is as clued up as anyone on what those pricks are up to.... he reckons their business for the summer is done, so hopefully the rumours about them sniffing around Sesko are just agent talk.
  7. We don't though. We have a keeper of 33 and another of 36 and then no one any of us would ever want to see start a game. We're sigining a 27 year old to address that. Total no brainer.
  8. There's been too much noise from multiple sources for the Sesko stuff not to be true. That cunt Romano was on yesterday saying that we've made a very strong presentation to the player about the project etc. I think he's a prick and I think he's an agent of chaos on behalf of big clubs/agents, but I also think there's clear evidence that we are in talks with player and club. And at the same time sorting the Ramsdale thing.
  9. Honestly, one of Australia's finest. You've come a long way since Joseph, although I still wouldn't trust you around knives.
  10. Aye it has and they're trying to make some effort to come up with a solution for the fact that we missed out on one of those expensive targets, and people are just moaning about it because that's the default for everything that happens now.
  11. Exactly. Aye we've got loads of keepers but you wouldn't want any of them to start a game other than Pope or Dubravka. Dubravka is 36 and approaching the end of his career. It's a perfectly sensible move to replace him this window for minimal cash outlay and with no obligation to even buy the replacement if it doesn't work out. What were seeing here is the CLEAR evidence of tbd's excessive drug use in the 90s. And it's very worrying.
  12. And what if Dubravka has indicated he wants to leave? Honestly people are just hoying wobblers for the sake of it with some of this stuff.
  13. We're clearly simultaneously in talks with Leipzig and Sesko though. There's no suggestion that we've put our best men on Ramsdale and everything else will have to wait.
  14. So we don't replace the keeper that turns 37 during the season unless the replacement is also better than Pope? There's fucking loads to moan about at the minute but getting Ramsdale in on loan is WAY down the list.
  15. Today's sensible UK political discourse is that Labour are saying Farage is taking the side of "extreme pornographers" over children.
  16. I don't know, who knows who's right. It's not like anyone has spoken to or heard from Eales in months.
  17. Waugh says Eales is still working for the club btw.
  18. This is quite a thoughtful analysis by Chris Waugh and Carl Anka. Anka is usually as smug as his tache, but he's alright in this. Doesn't really move the story on at all, but fine for a bit of background listening. They're polishing up that MBE as we speak.
  19. Above all from the Mail, I've saved you the click.
  20. Hierarchy?! What hierarchy?
  21. That's what one of the lads on the tf pod was saying. That he's been told that Eales left the club on June 30th and we currently are operating without a CEO. Presumably Silverstone is acting CEO atm. I'm sure he's also mightily impressed at the way the club is operating.
