  1. "I'd rather break his legs than let him go to Liverpool" Mick Martin is playing @thebrokendoll's song.
  2. That ex mackem is a director now isn't he? Probably panic-appointed post Eales going so that they have enough execs to even be quorate.
  3. Also, these lads need to think about their continued access to the football club. If they know that and reported it, they'd probably find themselves persona non grata at the next CEO's open day. Might not be true but it would absolutely explain a ton of what's happening.
  4. It was clear from some of the stuff Hope said the other day that he quite often knows stuff but doesn't see fit to make it public if he deems it would worsen the situation. If what the tf lot are saying is true, he may think that this is one of those situations. Video is here if you want to watch. There's no Charlotte so your blood pressure should be OK.
  5. This would also explain how Isak has been able to just take the piss in the absence of any management structure above Howe. And also why we can't get any signings over the line. This is Venkys level mismanagement from the Saudis if this is actually what's going on. A billion pound business with no acting CEO.
  6. If the true faith lot are to be believed, Darren Eales left the club on 30th June, a week or so after his mate Mitchell. Which leaves Silverstone as the only exec left. Is it any wonder that the club is in total disarray. If that's true about Eales btw, that is an absolute fucking disgrace from the Board.
  7. This Ben Jacobs cunt says we're talking with both Sesko and Openda (also at Leipzig). Anyone know anything about him other than he's Belgian?
  8. Honestly, I cannot get worked up about a keeper, first choice or replacement. We're probably about to lose the best striker in Europe and can't seem to replace him. We've got a massive drop off in midfield quality beyond the first choice 3. Every time Schar plays he looks like he's injured about three times a game and his cover is Lascelles and then NOTHING. Get Ramsdale and fucking move on to sorting out the proper problems. You've got to pick your things to get worked up about or it'll send you round the twist. We're gonna sign Ramsdale on loan. FINE.
  9. Just get it fucking done and get on with the real business.
  10. That's what was reported on the day this all came out." Explore a move away" might have been the exact line.
  11. That's not true though is it. Usable keepers at the club are Pope and Dubravka. Replacing the 36 year old with a 27 year old doesn't seem that daft to me. I'm not getting worked up one way or the other though, if it's loan to buy, who gives a fuck. There's plenty other things to get worked up about about NUFC atm.
  12. I followed this post up with another one saying I'd be delighted if we put a statement out putting them in their place and telling them to do one, but I don't realistically think that's going to happen. The middle ground is that we play hardball with them, IF we've accepted that the player is going. I'm not exactly advocating pleasantries, I'm on about setting them a hard figure and a hard deadline. More than anything else, I want us to be able to move on one way or another with the season.
  13. The quote was that he wants to "explore leaving the club". Which I'm sure has already put paid to any loyalty bonuses.
  14. I don't think we can reward him with a new contract following this episode. Even if it's partly just to insert a release clause. It sends a terrible message to the rest of the squad to make the lad that just skipped pre season the highest paid player at the club for a year.
  15. I don't really give much of a fuck about backup keepers tbh. I've never thought Ramsdale was a bad keeper though.
  16. Aye I think his career since leaving Arsenal has dealt him a bit of a reality check around his expectations though.
  17. Well, they're giving it a crack.
  18. They obviously think he's at least better than Dubravka. He's certainly 9 years younger.
  19. With any luck, the Man United stuff is just the likes of Romano doing the agent/selling club's bidding and trying to drum up some action.
  20. This is from yesterday, I think, and I don't know much about this Ben Jacobs lad. Liverpool have played us like a fiddle here though, if it's right. Unsettle the player, hope he does what he's done, then come back a week later and go "... So NOW is he for sale, lads?" No doubt his agent has been a willing part of the choreography, and whether Isak has been duped into it or his playing his role willingly, who knows. Anyway, if the above is to be believed, IF a bid comes in, it'll be because we've given them the green light. I sort of want us to get shot so we can move on, but at the same time I'd take some satisfaction from us releasing a public statement to say that despite Liverpool's work to unsettle the player, our original position stands, and they can fuck off til summer 2026.
  21. It probably won't be £150m but it shouldn't just be the £120m they were parading about with a week or so ago. We should be quoting a number that makes them uncomfortable and then refusing to budge on it, just like everyone else is doing with us.
  22. 70m euros they want though, isn't it? Which "over £60m" would just about meet.
