Bellamy will be seething like. "Craig Bellamy did not join Liverpool to sit on the bench. Craig Bellamy will be considering Craig Bellamy's options over the summer, and ultimately doing what is right for Craig Bellamy. Craig Bellamy is finishing speaking now."

UEFA's policy has been the same for years regarding tickets and has any other club had this sort of problem? I don't honestly know, but I'm sure ticketless fans travelling to matches and trying to get in happens all the time. ManUallover or whatever he's called has stated several times people double up going through the turnstyle at SJP, for instance. Fact is, the problem wouldn't happen with adequate technology or policing, just as it wouldn't at Hillsborough. It actually saddens me that fellow football fans are so willing to have a pop at others when the authorities are at fault. If the Greek police are incompetent and the facilities are not up to scratch, then it shouldn't have been held there. And also, there should not be so many corporate tickets. Do you agree on that point, at least? How are the authorities at fault? These tramps turned up and blagged their way into a game they should never have been at. They knew exactly what they were doing, they deprived paying fans of their rightful places in the stadium, and they caused near riots outside the ground. They were climbing over walls ffs - how do you blame the authorities for that? Would you behave like that without a ticket, and then blame it on the authorities? Of course fans like that are scum and deserve criticism. My problem is you are generalising that all Liverpool fans are like this, and that the problem is specific to Liverpool. I disagree. I don't think for a second that all Liverpool fans are like that. But you're blaming last night's problems on the authorities for selling tickets to corporates. Which is bollocks. The problem was caused by Liverpool fans - not all of them, but Liverpool fans nonetheless.

Well they've changed their tune this morning.

Aye it's boiling my piss on 5 live like. I never arse myself, but this time I even sent a text. Ain't read it out like. I sent one in too mate. Just said that it's not the first time that ticketless scousers have turned up to get into a game they should never have been at, that we should just be thankful that we didn't have another disaster on our hands, and that the British media would do well to be a little less hasty to lump all the blame on a police force trying to deal with the situation. Didn't hear that get read out either. Is this really a problem specific to Liverpool fans though? Are they not an easy target? These counterfeit tickets, who supplied them? Why aren't the police arresting the counterfeiters, are they even arsed about it? I've been listening to 5 live too and the whole thing sounds a bit shambolic. But surely the real problem is that half the tickets are sold to corporate "fans", not just in this match but in virtually every final, meaning even in mega-stadiums there are far to few tickets for ordinary fans. Of course, it's nice this is overlooked when there is an easy stereotype to pick on. If you don't have a ticket because a corporate fan has it, then tough shit. Don't turn up at the stadium and try to get in though. Just because it's unfair that the corporates get the tickets doesn't mean that a fan blagging his way into the ground is blameless ffs. The stereotype is REAL.

Reports this morning of Liverpool fans with no tickets, counterfeit tickets, or just photocopies of genuine tickets turning up and trying to get into the game, some succeeding. One scouser talked about people "climbing a wall" to get in. Will they ever learn? No surprise to find the media blaming the "heavy-handed" police either.

GregNUFC accomodation regrets to inform you that this trip has now been cancelled, due to some unforseen testicle problems. What a ball-ache.

Did you need a pencil for that one? Craig number crunch good.

The way I explained it at work today to a "football fan" who couldn't understand why I wanted them to lose was "You've obviously never seen your team play them, you've never been to Anfield to see your team play with all that involves off the pitch and most of all you don't remember what utter, utter bastards they were when they were top dogs". I'm not sure what your point is. I've seen them play at Anfield, as a neutral and against us. Never had any problems, in defeat or victory. I know you have a certain amount of bitterness towards Liverpool, for me the irony is I'll be the one treated as the odd one for wanting a fellow Northern team to do well, not you for preferring an Italian one to do well. Oh well, never mind, hoped you enjoyed Kaka's latin religious sentiments. God gave him the talent to play football but made him stupid enough to believe. I've never understood an "affinity with northerners" as you suggest - to me they were just other teams - the Hartlepools and Darlos meant nothing and I always had proper reasons to hate the ones I actually encountered eg Leeds and Sheff Weds. I know you have personal reasons for "liking" them - joking aside - and I suppose I should confess my secret as well - my brother supports them. It was actually him more than my Dad who "raised" me as a Newcastle fan but then he defected in 76 - the ultimate in treason. That is a factor but I stand by what I said - the dealings I've had with them over the years has left me not trusting them. They live the stereotype. My boss at work is Irish and supports them (he's seen them play once a West Ham this year). His brother however goes to a lot of games and couldn't get a ticket for tonight so came over to Liverpool to watch it. My boss said he'd booked the trip until Monday because he wanted to watch the victory bus tour - summed up the bastards for me. I feel your pain, my brother used to support Newcastle and has defected. He is there tonight...... lol That......lol on the end is quality. Hope you've texted him to comiserate.

Almost as good as Liverpool losing is Renton getting all emotional as his scouse sympathiser tendencies get the better of him. "You're all so bitter! We're rubbish you know, have you forgotten that? OMG you want the Italians to win! Can't believe it la!"
-
Please no. Not this time.

2 nowt. Minute's silence time!

Get in you scouse bastards.

That's a good point, I remember hearing something about transfers of major assets while a business is under offer, though I could be wrong. Owen will be fuming. "Sorry Michael, we'd love to let you join Man United, but until this takeover goes through, stay put and shut your face mkay?"
-
Shepherd will retire a VERY rich man, I reckon. And that wanker Kenneth will now NEVER be our chairman. I bet he's fucking gutted tonight.
-
It's aitch. Haytch is what mongs say.
-
Gerrard playing off Kuyt up front apparently.
-
Anyone who didn't want Liverpool to lose should now after watching that Clive Owen cheesefest. Fuck right off man.
-
Haha he sounds like a fucking tramp tbh.
-
£133m cash offer according to the Beeb. Is that new news or has it been on there hours?
-
Re Freddy wanting to stay on as chairman - it won't matter. This bloke is not going to put this much money into a football club (or own the fucking thing outright if that's what he eventually does) without having complete say in what goes on. If Shepherd wants to be Ashley's puppet, good luck to him.

Fucking hell, just when you thought there was no hope for this club, we sign Allardyce one week and then look like getting bought by a billionaire the next. Happy days are here again.
