  1. If you're sick on a weekend, your employer owes you those days back. That's one of the rules I live by. Worse still - I was meant to be on annual leave Mon/Tues - had planned a nice break for me and my lass, which I had to cancel cause I was ill then too... Aye I thought you'd said you were already off Monday and Tuesday. What's the matter with you like? The thought of the quantity of spew and diarhoea you could produce is scary btw. Like a shaven bear with a sore head. RIVERS of sweat too. Probably thought he was melting tbh.

  4. Spare a thought for Alex's lass btw. The joy of finishing work on a Friday no longer exists for her.
  5. Half frigging two! What is going on here?! What time does everyone finish? Two hours left for me here.
  6. What you gonna watch pulp? Got anything decent fiction? What? Admit it, you just felt an overwhelming urge to watch Pulp Fiction. So will Cath after reading my post, and she won't have a CLUE why. I can see a flaw in your subliminal plan. What the pulp are you talking about?

  9. Actually, he says major birthday, but I don't care. He's 39.
  10. Haha, Sammy is 39. That's made my day.
  11. Do you ever post comments about him when he's had a good game? It seems you can't wait to criticise the lad and pick holes in his game. People need to get past the idea that anything other than gushing praise amounts to slagging someone off. He does say that "on his day he's awesome", but the other stuff he says is also a reasonable assessment.
  12. Parky believes that the towers were brought down by controlled explosion iirc.
  13. Aye, it's pathetic this. Something seriously wrong with the passage of time on a Friday afternoon. We should be allowed out at 3 to make up for the extra TWO HOURS that it takes for the afternoon to pass.
  14. 3 estate agents have hung up on me this morning. Your patter must be lifting.
  15. PM Rob. If he hasn't once moonlighted as an estate agent, he'll have a very good friend who is one. What sort of advice are you looking for like?

    Emre

Good point well made. Typical of the FA looking for scapegoats early doors If he's guilty then I've got no sympathy for him at all, but unfounded allegations where you haven't even spoken to the alleged victim should be handled on the quiet until you have something concrete. Mud sticks. No smoke without fire. Everyone ought to know that. In a situation where it looks like they haven't even spoken to Diouf, I don't think "no smoke without fire" stands up as a good enough reason to make a public announcement before you've spoken to the "victim".

Out of order imo. Contact Diouf privately and ask him if he wants to make a statement. There's no need whatsoever to announce to the media that you'll be contacting Diouf to ask him whether Emre racially abused him. The FA are fucking thick.
  19. Are you having logic issues again? In my opinion, i.e. no-one could prefer Shola over Sib if they believe they are at best both backup players, therefore thay must believe he is worth a starting place. I have no confidence in Shola being able to come on from the bench and defend/break/attack set pieces as required as well as Sib. But you see, I'm not a big Shola fan, but he has some tricks so he can come off the bench and do something, potentially? I agree Le Sib is better in the air. Not sure what you mean re: 'break set-pieces' though. I think he means on the break. Something which Sibierski is shocking at because of his pace imo.
  20. But that's total cobblers though. It makes absolutely no sense.

  22. Simply because Sib and has half a brain to understand the game and doesnt fuck up most of our attacking play with always new and improved ways of doing so. It is a hatred based on facts. God knows I've observed enough of onfield action to base my judgement. Shola was in his "best ever form" whilst carrying that injury. I doubt we'll be seeing a version of him that is so much more mobile. On a tangent, seeing Chopra banging them in is annoying, he certainly wouldnt have made as our next local number 9, but he was never given as much of a chance as Shola. I wish our number 23 would "find his level" asap. Anyway this has been an enjoyable enough season without him, I'll certainly enjoy what is left. We've missed Shola a lot this season imo. That you can't see that is because you're blinded by your dislike of the lad.
  23. Seriously Matt, you want to have a word with yourself about this Shola hatred thing. When Shola was doing similar stuff to Sibierski - scoring but not looking like a world-beater, you had nowt but abuse for Shola. Even when he scored you'd still slag him off. Shola is plainly the better player of the two even when carrying a long-term injury.
