Just thinking about what you've said there, and this isn't specifically aimed at Ramage, but wouldn't you think that a player in his position would, recognising the fantastic opportunity he's been given, do everything he can to get better at his job. If I was a relatively poor Premiership defender (or any other position for that matter, but centre half is a good example as it's possible to be a very good functional centre half without being a hugely naturally gifted footballer, probably more so than any other position on the pitch), I would be working my ring off to try and get better given that the alternative is a huge drop in wages and Championship football, or worse. If a player like Ramage or Bramble really put the effort in and approached Roeder and confessed to their knowledge of their failings, and expressed a desire to do extra training sessions, review the tapes of their play or whatever, they could make a big difference to the rest of their careers. The money and the place in the first team sometimes just comes too easily.

Given that we as a club are totally incapable of operating effectively within the confines of the window, be it 3 months long, or one month, I would gladly see it scrapped.

Rob spoiling two movies in one post there.

Who's winning. My money's on Big Nads at this stage. Mark could be onto a winner with his 5-4 bet.

CAN YOU GIVE HER ADVANCE WARNING THAT CAPS LOCK POSTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED?

Wonderland was alright btw. Don't know whether his (Holmes') wife is telling the truth in what she claims, but if she is then he was involved in and carried out at least one of the murders. Kilmer is pretty good at playing fuckups.

Chairman of PLC grants interview with tabloid to bicker with another board member about the future of the company. Professionalism.

Having trouble with his side apparently. Proper Scotsman tbh. No bottle for the fight. Apparently William Wallace tried the same thing on just before he was hung, drawn and quartered. "Ayas! Me side man!"

Great point. Not one pundit has said, "well it happened against Newcastle on Wednesday so they deserve their bit of luck" or whatever. The four further goals Birmingham put through our net probably helped out with that though.

Couldn't agree more. Arsenal were a 'fashionable' club before Wenger but he's transformed them from a boring and ageing team into an exciting and largely young one on relatively limited resources. I'm not sure Mourhino could have done that, Gemmill. Well he won the Champions League with Porto, and the league both times he's entered it so far in the Premiership, so I reckon he's got something about him. But I'm not really sure what your point was - I wasn't comparing Mourinho to Wenger - I think Wenger is a great manager too, but that doesn't help Chelsea find a replacement for Mourinho, or Man United find a replacement for Ferguson, which was my point.

You think that with Abramovich's billions, Chelsea won't have their pick of top coaches? I think they will, but I don't think any of them will have the impact Mourinho has. Likewise with Man U. They can get in whoever they want, but even being half as successful as Ferguson is going to be a huge ask.

I still think it is a fairly level playing field (within the top 4), Gemmill. I think Arsenal are still capable of taking any of the other teams apart on their day and now have the benefit of increased gate revenues. Even if Chelsea bullet Mourhino, Abramovich will still throw money at them (arguably more so to finance a new manager). Man Utd still probably have the profile to replace Fergie with another top class manager. You do, and you're right about Abramovich too, but there are no guarantees, are there? It's unlikely Chelsea will find a replacement of the calibre of Mourinho (the bloke is a one-off IMO), and it's very unlikely you'll find anyone as good as Fergie. Even managers that have won stuff on the continent are a gamble. I think both of you are a little way ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal at the minute, who just drop too many points too regularly to win the league, but if both Chelsea and your lot fell away a bit it would open things up.

Testa Mora will be doing her nut about this.

He laced Grant Bovey like.

As of this minute in the match he's still British. Well done to the lad. Let's see if he can avoid turning Scottish.

Excellent, I hope so. He's thick charver scum as well mind. Him and Jade are just Wayne and Waynetta - The Early Years tbh.

Yeah I read that too. She's also lost out on a couple of contracts apparently. Jo's also had a gig at G.A.Y cancelled too. She's got such a man-face on her, I bet she probably pulls at places like that.

Aye, Matt, Dotbum showed me that the other day. Poker After Dark is well worth the download.

Apparently Sheringham isn't happy and is gonna give her the boot as soon as she gets out the house. Class, really. These no-marks go in hoping to kickstart a career as a professional nobody and end up not only messing that up, but labelling themselves as racists to boot.

I used to love boxing, but I never bother with it anymore really. There's too many champions at every level and the big fights rarely happen because of promoters protecting their interests. Shame, but the sport is a joke these days.

They reckon she's made £4m since the first BB she was on tbh. Professional Thick Bitch isn't a career as such, but she's certainly been well paid for it.
