Re Shola - whoever the doctor is that has now twice advised us to give him injections on his hip instead of an operation, should be struck off. At the very least we shouldn't be taking any advice from him again. Not even 90 minutes into the Premiership season and his hip's buggered. Let's do the operation during the season eh.

Reckons he's read the riot act to them after the Southend game. He said they've had their arms round the players who were underperforming trying to cajole something out of them, but the losing mentality is ingrained. Supposedly he told a canny few of the team they simply weren't good enough and that he was looking to bring in replacements before the window closes. Club in genuine crisis, and he doesn't even have a chairman to turn to for support. I'm taking the piss, but the pressure on him must be immense. I reckon he's on the Just For Men anyway, but if he's not we'll be seeing some grey hairs a la Keegan before too long.

Aye, formal bid expected this week apparently. Interesting times ahead. I'd like to hear some sort of announcement from the group of their intentions like (not that they're going to confess if they've got dastardly plans!), but this could definitely be a good thing if they've got £50m or whatever set aside for players. I don't see us getting back into the top 4 any time soon without that sort of cash injection.

How bad are they? I do feel sorry for them like, because this has been the false dawn to end all false dawns, but it's still canny funny. The squad is shit but according to a mackem lad I know Quinn isn't helping by playing 2 or 3 players out of position a la Reid. Jesus, if I had no experience in management, I'd at least try and get the basics like letting people play in their natural positions right.

I'm not sure how much I buy the stuff about him not getting enough of a chance. Give someone like Milner or N'Zogbia 10 minutes at the end of a game and they'll do something - they'll want the ball and he'll try and make the most of it when they gets it. The only time I could see the attraction of a motorbike is bombing down a deserted highway somewhere in middle America. I would never want to be riding a motorbike in this country - for a start the weather is absolutely manky most of the time here, and secondly, the roads are too congested which just makes it too dangerous. My mam's friend's son died going over the flyover on the city motorway when a freak gust of wind basically blew him over the side of the flyover.

Hard to really take a lot from youtube about his ability, but one thing you can conclude on is his pace. He looks as fast as fuck and if you can get the likes of him, Zog, Duff, Dyer (!?) and Owen (??) working together you could create a lot of chances. Let's just hope it goes through.
