A French lad I know goes drinking with him. I'll pass the message on that I'll LACE HIM if he leaves. That should put this issue to bed tbh.

Sorry about that mate! It was Cath's fault though - I had assumed your name was Sammy, and Cath goes "Steve and his missus are here". As I was asking her "What's Steve doing there?!" she passed the phone over to you and I was straight into talking to you assuming you were the ponytailed, comic reading buffoon! All you Aussies sound the same tbh. Nice to talk to you anyway. And now I know you're DEFO a ginga! 130099 Defo? And I can defo confirm your comment re Cath's breasts in the boobs thread 130101 You're gonna be in bother now.

It's not a river mate, it's San Francisco bay, and it's actually well known for having sharks there including great whites - I think I'm right in saying that it's a breeding ground for them. So, as you say, you're not an expert.

I'll just nail their tails back on first.
-
Both are safe and well. They do grow new tails if they lose the old one, right?

Quite a habit you seem to have there 129818 And now I've lumped the winnings on Spurs. 129948 And I've lumped the lot on Man United against Boro tomorrow.

Aye, the docs have told him that it's normal to feel some pain when returning from an injury like that. Good news for us and England.
-
I'm defo having a bet on those twats to win the UEFA. Boro are 13/10 on Betfair. They make Sevilla favourites.

If Andy Johnson goes to a World Cup, I'll consider myself to have been very unlucky to miss out on a place.

The way he beat the three defenders yesterday when I saw it on the replay, he looked for all the world like Maradona (don't laugh! ). The balance and the way he completely bewildered the defenders, plus the fact he's a barrel chested shortarse. Later on someone on the radio commented on it and mentioned "shades of Maradona", so I wasn't the only one. 129887 Jesus wept. These are the signs of an upcoming World Cup. English people getting totally crazy again. What's next? Peter Crouch showing Pele-esque touches? 129898 I didn't say he's as good as Maradona, you tool! I said the balance and the way he beat the players and his build made him LOOK like Maradona. And someone else obviously thought the same for them to have said it on the radio. So shut it. 129900 Still a daft comparison. The only one looking like Maradona is probably you. 129909 If I'd said he's as good as Maradona, you'd be right. But I didn't. So you're wrong.

This is true!

I think I'd be willing to give him a chance to prove you wrong mate.
-
Presumably because you don't like him as a person? On football grounds I'd find it hard not to want to see him play for us tbh.

Scored against the scousers iirc didn't he? Pretty unconvincing finish too, I recall.

We were one of the favourites to win it tbh 129870 All a matter of opinion really, isn't it. We get told every world cup how we're one of the favourites man. I think we have/had an outside chance.
-
IMO we were BIG outsiders to win it anyway, so I'm not one of these who's gonna say that we now have no chance of winning because of this. As far as I'm concerned I'm just disappointed that we won't have him in the team, because he's brilliant to watch and could turn it on against the top sides. I just like watching top players on the top stage and it's a shame for him that he looks set to miss out.
-
To be fair to the bloke, he may well not be in the process of a nazi saulte, although the fact that someone's had their attention drawn to him enough to take the photo suggests he may have been. Either way his parenting skills don't look too great.

By the way, I got the Kiera Knightley bit from a news story. I don't read FHM. I'm a GQ man.

Listening to people on the radio this morning trying to convince themselves it'll all be ok, and it's pathetic! We ruled Ledley King out pretty much straight away with his injury, but with Rooney, they're talking about "6 weeks to the first game, but more like 9 to the QF, so we could bring him back then, Geoff Hurst didn't play til the QFs etc etc." I tell you what, if Rooney wasn't under enough pressure to be England's saviour before the injury, it's just increased tenfold. If by some miracle he does make it back for the Quarter Finals (assuming England get there), the pressure on him to perform is going to be IMMENSE and totally unrealistic given he'll just be coming back from serious injury. Having said that, the way his story has gone so far, you wouldn't bet against him being able to turn it on.

Get him in the oxygen chamber for the next month and make sure he's eating something other than his normal diet of spaghetti hoops and cola bottles and he'll be able to start in the final.
