  1. I'd start: harper carr rozy taylor charlie barton smith butt milner viduka owen No wait, that will never work.
  2. GOLD                   But yet to be actually proven.
  3. He's right, he's popular and he doesn't smell like fish Except when wearing a blazer
  4. Not quite the same thing, Sammy. I'm talking about creating an image that he'll follow the whims of the supporters which I think will be counter-productive in the search for a new manager. Then again, probably it's just me that's gets this 'image' from his actions and nobody else. Maybe but he's not the chairman. And honestly how is it any worse than Learner putting out a press release that he has the villa badge tattooed on his ankle?
  5. Hey what I said, no what he said that was just like what I said!
  6. Because he was shit as well as all of the above. You have to wonder if the Barton situation had something to do with this. At Bolton, a lot of Allardyce's fuck ups were just pushed out to the back paddock so no-one would notice. I'm sorry Sam but 'because he was shit' doesn't cut it for me considering the circumstances, the statements, the initial backing and the recent transfers. I want a more accurate answer to be honest. He wasn't doing a very good job? As opposed to getting sacked for doing well? Which one do you think? Or do you want Mort & Ashley to type up a 1500 page dissertation which will be mailed to your address explaining in detail? I want the truth Goddammit! I would like it to be a pre-approved approach, my biggest fear is a snap decision at the wrong time of the season going against an apparent previously considered judgement that Sam was the man for them. Are you sure? The truth hurts You can't handle the truth [/big jack] (no radgi not that jack )
  7. Problem is it's not ironic. It's being descriptive.
  8. Mourinho never shaved, so how would that effect a chairman wanting to hire him perception of him? It's 2008 not 1955 (but image if it was we're going to win the fa cup!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  9. To be honest I think like a lot of fans they thought he probably deserved his chance and it was their job to give it to him, people change allegedly. I also think whether the story rumour is true or not, they might of come to the realisation it wasn't working and that there are better managers out there and available. So as the first response to your topic said, a bit of list a and a bit of list b and Nolan just broke the camel's back.
  10. I do care if we lose. I would take less exciting football (although not as dull as Allardyce) if it meant winning something. I'm just idealist/greedy I suppose. I want to win, but I want to do it in style. We weren't winning many games under Allardyce though and just scraping the ones we did get against crap sides. The reason the football was dull was because we were shit. If we were a good team we would by definition be playing much more entertaining football. I don't think the team is shit, I think the problem was that Allardyce set up the team was shit. Players in the wrong positions, the midfield stifled of creativity etc. You have point though, if the players wrre playing where they should be and if the midfield had a bit of creativity in there - ie if Emre played more often, we may well see better football. But even so, Allardyce's so called success at Bolton still produced dull football. Isn't the answer to our lack of creativity in the midfield but neither was wanting to buy Diarra and Nolan.

Bit in bold and: That and he was asking for money for Nolan and Diarra. You can't tell me that even Ashley and Mort didn't notice that wasn't what we needed.
  12. We tried to invite you but you were busy moaning or something the person who answered the phone said.

  14. But I don't see how signing players like Smith would have helped him to his long term goals. Alan Smith is a decent player but he wouldn't get a regular game at a top 5/6 team which is where the aspirations/long term goals should be for your club. I could understand Keane signing somebody like Smith as his 'goals' are different, avoiding relegation. To me, NUFC were never in danger of that so the goals should be to challenge the top 4 and players like Smithy won't help to do that. Praise the lord someone who could see the problems of Allardyce and what he wanted to build. And he isn't even a Newcastle fan! Thank you FCUM and it's over and out for you our little james blunt groupie.
  15. Honestly I don't know. But to be fair that's the same for every other fucker whining and hoping except Mort, Ashley and Jose
  16. I can't help it if you're an easy target and if I didn't point out what a loser you are before wacky got here where would be the fun in that? By the way to answer your question, the otherside of the world and I bet I've been to more toon matches than your mum has let you have all day suckers, little girl.
  17. No, why should we lower our expectations? To be honest the last three managers have shown us that lowering our expectations doesn't do the club any good. The club needs to raise its game and appoint the right manager, give them the support they need in both backroom staff and playing staff. For too long we've watched the club spunk away money on and for those not good enough. Trophy signings aren't the way but neither is half baked ideas of prozone and Terry Mac. We as fans know it's going to take time, even the most anti Allardyce supporter knew that and the right manager will get everything they deserve from the fans. Give a little and you will get a lot. Because they're so unrealistic it's laughable? What? That we want to see our manager improving the team both on and off the field? That we want the club to promote football and not fucking prozone? What crap skol, the supporters expectations aren't laughable. They are already quite low and for all our hope that Mort and Ashley could sign someone like Mourinho, realistically we all know it's not likely. So how about you give others some credit that they're not all screaming chavs calling out Shearer or Jose's names? It's interesting, don't you think, that those that don't even living the same country can't understand football or have realistic expectations, isn't it?
  18. You really do believe everything you read don't you Dan. Well I've got a little gem, that no doubt you'll believe. Everyone on toontastic, except fop, want you to shut up and stop moaning. See it's in print so it must be true!
  19. He's like that over priced car that you have insured to the hilt. Do you try and sell it? Or just talk to that mate that knows someone who knows someone, that can help for a ton
  20. English is his second language
  21. I heard James Bl©unt has written a song about it and kid cock is auditioning for the stage show. Why is it twats like you only ever point to what Mourinho, not that he's coming here because he doesn't even live in the country hey skol(?), only ever remember him at Chelsea, it's not as if he had any success before that did he? Allardyce has to go, the club couldn't afford him to spunk anymore money on the likes of Nolan and then expect the next manager (and there was always going to be a next manager) to work with the shite Allardyce would of left at the club on 4 or 5 year contracts.
  22. sweet lordy dear, alex man I don't think it's going to be Hughes or Redknapp. Neither would leave a club who they've had some degree of progress with against certain odds, to come to a club that still sacks a man after 20 games despite assuring him his job is safe. neither do I think it'll be Jose or Lippi etc. I think it'll be a middle of the road manager, which is why I can't get excited. Quick have a pimms and run around with your underpants on your head Dave, that will help.
  23. sammynb

    Hughes?

why? you've seen the light haven't you? I was enlightened when you were still in short pants and moaning about your free milk sonny [/noelie] By the way Hughes is a black hole, ain't no light there boy.
  24. 18/1 on betfair last time I looked.
