  1. The press are making more of it than they need to, it's nothing amazing tbh and I doubt very much that there's much damage either.
  2. I get the feeling Labour overspend trying to keep the masses happy and don't think of the long term effects every time they get in then when people have had enough of their bullshit the Conservatives get in and subsequently end up being portrayed as the bad bastards for having to make big cuts due to Labour's recklessness. This country would be a richer place if it wasn't for all the doley scounger types and immigrants who haven't contributed to the upkeep of the country's coffers but are being given freebies, imo they're the ones who should be hit first - there's no such thing as a free lunch. Personally I think all these politicians are very much of a muchness, put me in charge and I'd rule with an iron fist, muhuhahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa! ... I hate politics.
  3. Poor bastards, haven't they been saying this for ages though?

    Carroll

I fear any small amount of respect the lad had due has well and truly been shot down after seeing that.
  5. Peter Beardsley isn't management material Tom. Seriously. He isn't Perhaps not, but his wife might be. he may have been a great player - who played for the Toon when we had the title firmly in our sights and gave it a serious shot [ahem] - but management material he is not. Many a person said the same thing about Keegan pre-92. Different sorts of people though, both great players but I don't recall Beardo being a media darling like Kev was.

    Redundancies

My company is looking for a buyout or a partnership to go forward in the next year, I'm trying to look at it as an opportunity for expansion rather than reinforcement to stay afloat.
  7. To be honest it's the one area I wish the Brits were more like the French, at least they stand up for themselves when their government tries to screw them over.
  8. Thing is journos make fun of this sort of thing, it's ridiculous really - the be all and end all of it should be that if someone's cooking bacon and you don't like the smell then fuck off elsewhere, I doubt anyone forced these 'offended' peoples to live somewhere that, heaven forbid, the natives eat bacon! The smell of manure isn't particularly great but I don't see anyone stopping farmers putting it on their fields. ... on a side note any culture or religion that frowns on bacon must be a wrong.

  10. Shit, the sooner I can get off this planet the better!
  11. The whole Prem could down the pan at this rate, players aren't going to want to come here if there's no money. That said it could have a positive effect on the national side
  12. I've not been to Nottingham for years, is Rock City still there? I remember going to an 'All Night Bikini Beach Party' there about 15 years ago, started out with a wet t-shirt compo and ended up with a full on stage sex show
  13. And he's probably right tbh. I can't stick Rooney at all but Man Utd just aren't showing anywhere near the ambition you'd expect of a club like them tbh, all the work done by Ferguson over the past god knows how many years is slowly being whittled away by an incompetant ownership.

    Ding

I liked her, had more balls than any PM since.
  15. To be fair I think we've played better than the table shows, we were extremely unlucky to not have won at least two of the games we lost and that was down to very bad reffing decisions. We've been playing alright so far this season and I'm sure there's three teams worse than us in the league. ... just hope I'm right and we manage to avoid relegation again - we really are better than that.
  16. I always liked him as a manager, not sure anyone would want to come to us with the current financial situation though. Can't see the point in getting rid of Chris either.
  17. I seem to recall everyone hailing Rooney as the new Alan Shearer when he was still a kid at Everton... that didn't materialise though did it? He wishes he could be as good
  18. You don't need to add "as a manager" to that sentence! A "Big time Charlie" is what I heard
  19. The Mail's claiming Hughton would have been sacked if we had lost to Wigan in a third successive home defeat, would love to know who they think they could get hold of that would do any better right now tbh... oh hang on, didn't Joe Kinnear say he'd like a return to the club?
  20. Don't blame them, wish our wanky society would take a leaf out of the German's books tbh.
  21. They've just lost my support. I fucking hate that fat, unfunny fuckflap
  22. I'd rather have Raylor in RB until Simpson's fit again tbh, Perch is abysmal.
  23. But little Chris really rates him apparently. Did someone have a river on the go then?
