At the end of the day it's more the exam boards dictating what is taught in schools. Nothing really the schools themselves can do in terms of dictating the syllabus. There are just various modules available to be taught. 2/3 of my A level subjects have coursework, which is alot preferable as it gives an indication of the student's ability through the course of a term, as opposed to 2 hours in a pressured situation. You can get someone who does well in the subject in class, but has a mare of an exam and fails. With coursework, such a scenario isn't as devestating.

Speaks volumes. I hate the group, vastly overrated pop/ska punk which is AWFUL. The lead singer can't even bloody sing. Like Bowling For Soup tbh. I don't dislike punk, but the only punk band I really listen to is Refused. I'll have you know, Jaret has an amazing voice.

Well, I'm in touch with her still, just not very regularly. it's just annoying because things were starting to get good again and I was regaining faith that things might actually work out. But I'd just been a bit grumpy/lonely this week which made it all worse. I'm sure that situation will work out. A long distance relationship will work out if both parties want it to. I know how you feel about it, I'm in one myself. But I'm all set to fly out to Germany for xmas, and she's coming over here for a Bowling For Soup gig in feb. As for the cancer, that's just rough.
