He did well in the first half. The minute he has a bit of time to think he fumbles it so badly it just throws a negative shade on the overall performance. Forget the header, the moment in the second half when he had so much space and time on the counter and seemed to lose control of his legs, it was like watching a giraffe trying to cross a frozen lake. Reminds me of Shola or Bramble at times with how good and bad he can be at the same time. But yeah, if he can find a bit of confidence and get back to what he did best for us it will be a big help in a long season.

I think his reading of the game and the technical ability to play quick one touch passes in just the right areas are equally important. The latter seems so simple but it's incredibly hard to do, but was one of the first things you could see when he made his debut against Villa. Tonight for instance he set off Ramsey and Willock in dangerous areas in the middle of the park on a number of occassions just because he knew exactly where to play the ball without wasting time on sideways passes. It makes life so hard for the other team especially when you've got the pace and power we do.
