From an article on Sky, is this really what the ManU board are now doing, watching highlights and thinking 'oooh if only that had gone in?' and that is driving the decision making? Fantastic if true and it would explain a lot

Ah so Lahm is Germany's Rio Ferdinand, got it.

The constant statements about how 'we're the worst team ever' must also be a real boost in the dressing room

I love how Amorim basically challenges the club to sack him at the end of every interview. Ten Hag was a gift and we couldn't have asked for a bigger disaster as a replacement. Utterly incompetent, fails to adapt in anyway and publicly says he wont, 'just sack me if you want to get better'. Incredible There's still a few in the media that are hanging onto the notion that he just doesnt have the right players. I mean how much do you want to be able to spend man? Buy every good player on the planet and then credit the manager when it finally goes your way? Hopefully Ratcliffe thinks the same and/or is skint and they have to keep him around for a while yet.

We just need some points to get the confidence going and this will help. A result against Barca would too. I thought Burn and Schar did brilliantly individually but as a whole they had too much space running at us. Woltemade and Tonali the other stand outs. Tonali is just on a different level. And this was just the debut Nick needed. The rest of the players looked off it for the most part. Shouldn't read too much into the performance just yet, we'll get going soon enough. I'm just not convinced with Barnes, he's great when he's on it but just adds very little to the team when his one trick isn't working. Gordon coming in will be a lift.
