  1. We're going to end up with Jackson and Wissa in the end aren't we
  2. Every club knows our situation with Isak. I think we should consider paying 5-10M above our target a good compromise if it seals the deal. Need to keep the bigger picture in mind here.
  3. What Howe said in the press conference on getting to know Isak's whereabouts through the media pissed me off again. He can fuck off honestly, least you can do is keep the manager in loop. Agreed that we don't accept a penny less than 150M. If not hopefully we find a compromise, one year extension with a release clause and try and get Real or Bayern to bite next summer. At his age he can't really afford to rot for a year on the bench, especially with the world cup coming up.
  4. Can't we sell the Greek lad to Saudi for 20M or so since there's already a 'fair value' established given what we paid for him. Everyone but us seems to be able to pull off these deals. Liverpool just sold some guy you'd never heard of for 15M odd to Lyon. More than established premier league Longstaff.
  5. Drag the fucker to the front desk in the morning to sign the new contract before he's allowed to put on his boots.
  6. At least it seems PIF have decided to get a handle on things at long freaking last. I'm not that bothered about Isak anymore. It's a shame and I still hope it works out but we're already trying to get other top strikers in. Time to focus on the other positions too now and get them in before September. This could be another bloody great season. I've maintained Isak is our most important player but we always knew at some point we'd have to deal with big players leaving. The club has to implement a process for getting replacements in and continuing to build the squad. Howe is the most important part of the puzzle for us. As long as the owners back him we'll be fine. And no mucking about when the time comes for his contract renewal.
  7. The lad needs to have a serious think about his advisors throughout all of this. More promising careers than his have gone down the drain because the player got a bid ahead of himself listening to greedy little shits.
  8. Looks like we told them to go fuck themselves in a manner that hasn't really sat well Excellent Now for the treacherous pig. He can come apologize publicly or find another club willing to spunk 150M plus. Real shame he's let it come to this but at this point I'm almost hoping someone outside of England manages to find the money. Don't want players here who've had their heads turned, not sure even Howe can turn this around for him.
  9. I hope the whole thing falls apart, Liverpool sod off, the Newcastle dressing room tells Isak to sod off and he's left with no choice but to solve our PSR problems by going to Saudi for 170M.
  10. Been out for a while so haven't read all the posts but what a spoiled cunt Isak has turned out to be if reports are true. It's fine wanting to go to for what you feel is a bigger opportunity, but acting the cunt after the status the club and the fans have given him is really poor form. He'll have a hard time reconnecting with the players and the fans of the club tell Liverpool to sod off unconditionally.
  11. What an absolute shit show. If Isak wants to leave he can fuck off, I dont get why he waited till almost August and for Liverpool and Arsenal to sign strikers before doing this though. Did our lack of activity influence the decision? Who knows. I'd personally be okay with a major player leaving, we knew it would happen eventually. Even the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool have lost their starts to bigger clubs. If managed right one could use the sale to improve the squad on the whole, but you can't see us doing that right now with the vaccum at the top of the club and I just can't disconnect from what a monumental shit show our leadership has become, for a second consecutive summer. Eales can fuck off too All this on the back of our best season in 70 years. If we hadn't won a trophy or qualified for the CL safe to say the club would be filing for administration right now the way this lot have managed things. Right ticked off by this circus And Isak should know to stfu and get his act together unless Liverpool stump up 160M or so.
  12. Would be a great signing at that price, one of the better premier league forwards, should have another 4 seasons or so at the top in him.
  13. The way that tit Romano and now some other journos word their tweets does my head in; player wants only this, players will join only that. Like texts teenagers barely passing their grades would send to each other.
  14. Knowing Chelsea they'll actually get it off some club in Saudi.
  15. Ah my cousin who works down in Kenya would have loved a plumbing joke or two He blessed the drains down in Africa
  16. Don't be silly. He'll be drawing up the list of 35 year old GKs to target
  17. I read it Atlanta at first and thought ffs
  18. It seemed like a decent appointment at the time, given his work with Atlanta from their stadium to commerical growth etc. I thought it was astute in terms of having him build up NUFC from scratch in a commercial sense post Ashley. Since then it's just been turmoil at the top, as others have said why our ownership continues to leave it unaddressed alongside critical decisions such as stadium, training ground sponsors etc in the face of how royally PSR is fecking us; only they know. The other concern of course is if things dont improve at the top Howe will get frustrated at some point.
  19. Saw his fat useless arse in the mirror maybe
  20. Difficult to see how we get the 4 plus players needed at this rate, especially once the seasons starts since if Howe continues to be running everything at the club. You could say maybe the dominoes fall into place and we make multiple signings in a couple of weeks but we just don't seem to operate that way, we work on one target at a time and try to tire down the other club into selling. I realize we were salivating about the prospect of having Ekitike play with Isak barely a week ago so things can change fast. It's just difficult to fathom how we're having to manage another summer in this ad hoc fashion, especially given that the club has has its best season in the pitch for 70 years against all odds.
  21. With a squad that already needed strengthening to be able to compete with European fixtures, we have since January lost: Miggy Kelly Wilson Longstaff 3-4 additions we would have hoped for anyway, plus 4 replacements.
  22. We dont sign keepers unless they are fifth choice.
