It can be really hard work, I kept marine fish for a while, whilst rewarding (like watching your fish queue up for their spa treatment at the cleaner shrimp station and watching hermit crabs swap shells etc) it was very hard work and I had to break it all down eventually as I couldn't give it the time with working away. Manufacturing salt water, changing said water, cleaning filters etc etc. That said I would guess I am likely the ONLY person on this forum who's had a chunk (small chunk admitedly) bitten out of their arm by "nemo" (vicious little buggers with very sharp teeth, those "cute" clown fish, ).

Are you getting the stand as well ?? because it's going to be heavy when filled up - 125 litres = 62 and half large bottles of pop heavy plus the weight of the glass etc. Put it somewhere where it'll get no sunlight on it an all, otherwise you'll end up with masses of green algae all over the glass and it'll be a bitch to keep clean.

Not in the slightest, wrong again. (a scientist making stuff up, say it isn't so !!!) Human catastrophe is an accident waiting to happen. Mankind is probably the most damaging organism in the history of the planet, to himself and everything else. Actually given overpopulation, human catastrophe is well overdue. The problem is, some (like you) think mankind has the natural ability to be wonderfull, some like me believe it doesn't. Man by nature (as evidenced the world over, with few exceptions, since we walked upright) is a thoroughly nasty piece of work and that "nasty" is bubbling along just below the surface even in the "nice" places (like the west). Sounds horrible but it's 100% perfectly natural, "survival of the fittest". That's the golden rule, mess with/give up your advantage and someone/something fitter will come along, it's the way of the world. So not selfish, not a bit, just in tune with nature.

It's an exaggeration not a conspiracy in my book. It's something that is there and is taken advantage of, it's not totally engineered. That makes it different IMO. If that doesn't fit with a pure definition of a conspiracy I couldn't care less.

Nope, just an opportunity exploited. To be a conspiracy in my book, climate change would have to be an invention/fabrication, as I said I do believe it is happening, but then again it always has. We may understand things better (through science) that contribute to climate change and mankinds activities may well have an effect but change is totally natural. If we could shut down volcano's and stop cattle farting we'd have more effect than "turning a light off" or not flying.

It is if you populate your tank simply based upon what looks good, the fact that many of the more attractive fish tend to be arch predators rarely gets considered. They're only doing what comes natural.

What conspiracies do you think I subscribe to ??? Can't think of any myself. Climate change is not a conspiracy, it's happening, I do believe though man's part as catalyst/driver of it is way overblown and also just so happens to be a "nice little earner".

Read lots about it, to keep tropical fish properly is a high maintenance "job" and they have a habit of eating each other if you aren't carefull with your fish choices.

Am with Parky on this one. Climate changes all the time and has throughout history, it's just one of those cycles but governments and scientists have twigged they can exploit it for dosh
