  1. Plus Royal Mail handling fee (£15 iirc) and last stuff we had shipped from the US (a present from family) they charged the VAT on the value of the items including the shipping charge. Bastards!! They check everything now, used to be hit or miss. Only way to do it really is to bring it back with you "used" if you are ever there.
  2. Until (and if) Nadal gets back, Federer and Murray will likely to continue to knacker each other out in the Slam semi's and have to meet a more rested Djokovic in finals, and Djokovic is more than enough to handle without any rest advantage etc. Who'd you rather face in a semi: Murray, Federer or Tsonga + bonus extra days rest thrown in when you win
  3. But he would have been shaking with emotion as he wrote it
  4. That must be a decent guide to what French judges earn
  5. Not to mention the ridiculous cost of buying home grown (or born even).
  6. I'd prefer a Napoleon one tbh, much more "attacking"
  7. Standard NUFC fans default position
  8. Not yet, club holds all the cards.
  9. They couldn't stop him (have no influence on) signing a pre-contract, which evidently he's done, so he's deffo off to us for nothing in the summer. They can sit him and pay his wages for a few months or take a nominal fee now, that's the leverage.
  10. So does Michael Winner (even today)
  11. Have that in my game, but it's unenforceable in law I am told, and no-one has tried to enforce it, even though I know folks have broken that clause. In football NUFC will hold his FIFA registration for the duration of the contract (or until they see fit to release it).
  12. Calm down, it's a shopped job
  13. Not unless we get bigger, tougher and faster on defence it won't be.
  14. I fucking hate the Niners (going back to the Montana/Young days) and the Ravens are MEH !! Won't be watching
  15. Must admit my heart skipped a beat when I first saw the thread (and the full title hadn't sunk in) I have a 18x12 copy of the below picture with a rather large original autograph (about 8 inches long) I bought about 18 years ago (it is pukka) was talking to a dealer when I was in Houston last year and he reckoned my pic (because this one with the bent arm has been withdrawn from reproduction by the photographers estate and Ali's folks, and because of it's size - and it's a good sig as Ali wasn't as shaky all that time ago) was worth around $6000 now and that would double when Ali passes away (I paid $300). Happy Birthday Ali, I can wait ;-)
  16. As a slight aside, could Tim Krul maybe consider saving a shot on occassion, or have a display like the Reading keeper had, please.
  17. This. Been supportive of him so far but yesterday's subs (when he had a decent-ish squad to choose from) we're bizarre, can understand the Cabaye one (even if he didn't have a knock) but the preceeding Marveaux one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Aye he did, never the same after that.
  19. Remember when Jinky (I think) did that Brum player (who's name completely escapes me) photo of the wound was in the Chrinicle, looked like a war wound.
  20. That's all spot on I characterised our back four of the time (Natrass and Kennedy full backs) on NO as: The back four was like pulling a stunning bird with stunningly great legs, spread them only to find a cock waiting in the middle.
  21. Well there's the internet me and then there's the "real" me Of course many of my football views are the real me, but given football isn't that much to me anymore, (can still screw my weekend to a point) I suppose to those who still care a whole lot my somewhat maudlin, at times, views would appear to be depressing if spoken by someone who cared much. It's just what I think, wouldn't place any strong emotion to it.
