  1. First bit, probably true, but I'm not a sad "no-life outside of NUFC" thicko like you and yer old mentor. We all know you are the uber-est of uber geordie NUFC fans. The rest is bollocks. Anyhow, how any of that supports your shite argument is beyond me. I've asked you to show me how it totals £25.6m, and I'd also like to see how the figures beyond that detailed in yesterday journal show a net spend of £3m (including the Carroll money). You can't/won't do it. Haven't seen the full accounts yet. Bottom line - club is in a hugely healthy position on and off the field, what's not to like ?????
  2. was 14th in the world when your man bought the club........ And the losses/interest payments/outgoings were .................................. (Rangers-esque is the answer)

  4. It'll be in the accounts. Transfer dealings are not a single seperate sum you doilem it's all part of the greater whole. In other words you haven't got a clue what you're talking about you old divvy. The club are saying transfer dealings totalled £25.6m for the period I'm asking you how? If Ashley stabbed you in the eye you'd find some excuse for the cunt. We'll see the "sums" when we see the accounts. As for having a clue, am surprised you know what day it is tbh.
  5. when exactly are you going to bother going to a game again ? Probably never, prefer watching from home.
  6. Pish The accounts will not lie (they cannot for legal reasons) BTW no club actually measures transfer spending (only fans do that) Clubs will assess what they can afford based upon the whole financial picture, which does and will include agent's fees etc etc. Well do the sums you stupid old cunt! Do the sums in transfer dealings. Who did we buy in the period covering 2010/2011 season that totalled £25.6m? It'll be in the accounts. Transfer dealings are not a single seperate sum you doilem it's all part of the greater whole.
  7. I've said that I'm as surprised as anyone else by our league position ! The overall strategy and mentality inside the club is a different thing altogether, I've also said the current policies dictate that this is as good as it gets, and the next direction is downwards because it simply isn't sustainable for long ie selling your best players and not backing your manager like the 2nd rate clubs do. Stevie's post is bang on too. The people who are running the club are wankers and sadly only fools are being taken in and fooled by them. "I'm as surprised as anyone that the team is getting better. But it doesn't make me wrong in my assertion that the team is getting worse." Class!!!, ranks alongside the: "I think Freddy Shepherd doesn't believe what he says, he really thinks what I think, and he's right"

It's taken them years, could take us the same. But on the bright side, we're set up not to have to overcome -10 points for the forseeable. You must be gutted, it appears no pocketting (although you don't know what that is), club doing better now on the field than it has for years. Fucking disaster aint it.

  10. When the accounts are available in pdf, you might have to. I look forward to your thoughts on that. I wouldn't wait for my thoughts, I suggest they'll back up the statements released in the last couple of days. The detail around the loan from MA will be of some interest. Hope the Ramble does a follow up piece tbh.

  13. Santander and BP will be chomping at the bit to hoy £100m at that sort of sales pitch. Way to showcase the opportunity Decka. Aye, I read that and just thought: does he actually care how incompetent he sounds? I mean I get he doesnt mind being unpopular (revels in it probably), and the stadium name change is prime evidence of that, but theres a huge difference between seeming unpopular and seeming retarded. That difference basically boiling down to self respect. That comment is irrelevant. Everyone knows people will call it SJP (in the UK). From a brand exposure perspective, the selling point is about getting the brand in front of the global TV audience. What Llambias said is of no importance and will have no effect on any prospective sponsor, to suggest it will, is all a bit silly tbh. It's about exposure of a brand to some folks in Timbuktu or other far flung markets and not what anyone in the vicinity of NE5 (or GB for that matter) thinks/says.
  14. Our squad will be the same size as everyone else's (25) come next season.
  15. Inside he must be seething, all the positives about the club in the last couple of days. Oh and no evidence of recouping (or pocketting as Leazes likes to wrongly call it).
  16. It's a bit rich when we have the 4th highest debt in the league. I think what he means to say is you shouldn't spend what you can't borrow. Hardly the same thing tbh.
  17. There'd be some significant reeling in all over the place, we've already done our slash and burn and are well placed. Evidently rule doesn't apply outside of England, one of the reasons for the shenanigans at Rangers with the players taking pay cuts.
  18. I Like this interview bit: “We would like to see deferred transfer payments phased out, so that you just pay for a transfer over a year. "Why pay for it over five years? Most do it. "We prefer to pay it over a short period of time. This was put to the Premer League board in 2010 and was rejected by everybody. "We are saying it should be discussed. You shouldn’t be spending money you haven’t got. It’s not the right way to behave. “And look at the taxman. Why is the taxman giving clubs so long to pay their tax bills? For instance, VAT - it should be paid on the dot. It’s a crazy way of running a business. “And is the creditors rule right in football? Footballers are getting paid, but the local tradesmen who have done work for the club aren’t and it is costing jobs.” If there's a level playing field (man-up UEFA!!!) and HMRC win their football creditors challenge (as they fucking should), there's a much more level playing field and our "size" will be of massive advantage. Maybe Ashley's going to make himself as popular in football as he is in "the city". Rock the boat FCB rock the boat.
  19. BTW that's not the full quote, which was: http://www.thetimes....icle3345303.ece Europe, Llambias says, “would create a whole different problem, but a nice problem”, and at a club where “self-sufficiency is our plan — keep buying, keep selling, keep buying, keep it affordable, but still compete”, it might persuade the talented young players scouted by the influential Graham Carr, and moulded by Pardew, to stick around. “Cheik Tioté, for instance, is out there,” Llambias said. “People know he’s a good player. How are we going to stop a big club from coming in for him? It’ll be very hard. If someone knocks on the door, the reality is that we may have to trade. “If you can take players from Arsenal, you can take them from anybody. But one thing in our favour is that we now have a very good side and that might encourage the player to stay.” and another: http://www.thetimes....icle3344997.ece why even bring up tiote though? he's touting him for sale? and why refer to big clubs coming in as if we're not a big club ourselves? we have a chance to kick on now by hanging on to our best players and brining in better players around them. we will never progress if we keep selling our best players after they've been with us for just a couple of seasons. It's reality, I'd rather he hadn't, but we all know it.
  20. It all a club can do (any club) to make sure if the worst happens that there is a element of control over the exit (namely the price)

  22. I know he is, but I just look at other Billionaires, then I look at Mike Ashley and... I don't know I just fully expect is wealth to be considerably less than it is. I mean.. seriously Just look at him Bill Gates doesn't exactly look minted, he's looks more like someone who would play with a trainset (when he's not collecting stamps).
  23. Billionaire's don't like to fail (or be also rans) at anything they do, they'll do it 100% their way though. T'is one of the things I'm optimistic about. What would be interesting ( and something I doubt we'll know until after his reign) is what exactly his measure of success is? Also I know this may seem odd, but I just don't think of Ashley as a Billionaire. I would guess in his head it's be the best and conquer the world doing it his way, whether his methods in the current environment will/can allow that is another matter. Have worked for a couple of multi-millionaires, trying to get their next multi millions, in my past and they are an immensly (insanely) driven lot, would imagine billionaire's are significantly worse.
