  1. Ashby is 23 he's hardly deadwood in the senior pro category. He has a little time yet.
  2. Or perhaps these deals aren't embroiled in agent/red club driven shill publicity.
  3. Which 3 though, who could we significantly improve on ?? (Don't mention Donnaruma ffs).
  4. Am retired mate 😀 Anyway, our squad additions (notwithstanding our swede created striker problem) are, on balance, greatly improving our risk mitigation capabilities. We have even mitigated the specific two risks, from last season, that you mentioned, such that I've closed them on my risk register.
  5. I'd guess they weren't happy but he had one year left and had blanked any new contract.
  6. We're at 24 I believe (if we assume Isak or replacement/Wissa/Osula up front) we could bring one more senior player in without sales.
  7. But they didn't and we were. If my aunt was my uncle etc etc etc
  8. They were basically just bodies though, we've massively improved on both and potentially also improved on who was ahead of them.
  9. Have we ? Thiaw is additional, Elanga is additional (unless you're counting Miggy from ages ago as the out) Ramsay for Longstaff is I suppose but it's a big upgrade. I'd even suggest he could be classed as additional, because Miley is likely the new Longstaff and Ramsey is in addition to Big Joe and our new obligatory perma-crock Willock.
  10. Our greater depth will improve the first team (striker question mark apart) because we'll have competition. Who in our first choice first XI could be realistically improved upon with a shoe-in upgrade currently, outside of Murphy with Elanga (potentially) I'm struggling to think of anyone else, maybe Big Joe but Ramsay may be that answer. Our first team performance level is very high (second only to the dippers from Dec last season) it's the drop off when we lost someone that is the issue we're addressing.
  11. You should have made it a video mate, he'd have lapped that up.
  12. When you are facing 60 games any signing that improves your squad, improves your team, across all the games. It's a 12/13/14 man game these days and you need to avoid flogging your starting XI to death.
  13. He played 45 games last season, was season before he was crocked.
  14. Songs are allowed dipshit, you don't have to listen to it to know exactly what it is, objection overruled.
  15. Oh dear Alexander, it appears we do indeed hold all the cards and as it happens they are all aces 👍
  16. Bank holiday Monday, all day on the sauce, plod will have their hands full I reckon.
  17. There are lots of strikers who "could" replace Isak, sure they may not score the odd wow goal he does, but they will happily convert the guilt edge chances we, as a team, create (for him) equally they may not miss the chances and one on one's he does, perhaps some of them can even head the ball. Yeah he's an outstanding player but he's not irreplaceable, that said he's ours until we decide he's not. There's no need to communicate anything further, he's not for sale.
  18. That and the fact they stance is not for sale, confirmed by the fact they "robustly" rejected the scouse offer, why would they say anything else. Anything said would be twisted and just add fuel to the fire.
  19. Starting to notice the odd scouse fan starting to say "not so sure we want a player who acts like this"
  20. There is no doubt in that regard, deffo paid by agents and probably clubs.
