  1. Sorry, I fundamentally disagree, I would contend he tried it as soon as Tonali was ready enough for it to work. He's talked previously (last season even) about wanting to release Bruno into a more advanced role.
  2. That Waugh article would suggest so. I would guess some of the substitutions we've done in last few games are based on who needs more recovery based on the data. It seems all very scientific these days.
  3. Based on performance at that time that was absolutely true. Tonali was gradually introduced as his fitness grew and now his performances are lightyears better than his "running about a lot" which was the story of his earlier appearances. On current form our best three are Big Joe/Bruno and Tonali, that wasn't the case earlier in the season but it certainly is now. They measure and monitor these fuckers to the far end of a fart, if they're not ticking all the boxes their playing time will reflect that. I would suggest any changes to the team that happen are more fitness/physical and data driven than much else. To say Howe "now knows" like everyone saw something he didn't is disingenuous IMO, everyone and their uncle knows Tonali is more gifted than Longstaff but he just wasn't physically (and maybe tactically) ready. And yeah an 80% Tonali may likely still be a better player than 100% Longstaff but he's also more likely to get injured playing at less than 100%, they'll have all that data too calculating probabilites etc etc.
  4. I agree but the centre is helped by the fact we have balanced width, just dropping Tonali in without the other changes wouldn't have been in itself a great changer IMO
  5. My last day was March 31st, back on ............................................................ never.
  6. If you read that article Waugh wrote about Bunce, that Wyki posted in the NUFC general chat thread, I reckon Tonali didn't get game time because he wasn't at "peak" fitness, he is now, and we're seeing the results.
  7. Added to the fact Gordon is back on the left and we have a functional RW at RW, it all adds up, it's not just a Bruno/Sandro tweak.
  8. They’ve got Wolves (big new manager bounce today) Us, Murderers and Arsenal up next
  9. Fraser Foster fucking hell πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  10. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ They had more corners to be fair.
  11. Well that was nice. Fernandes is all they've got and he looked just a tad miffed at FT, shame.
  12. A further crisp packet has been introduced and the empty seats are giving it an authentic SoS look
  13. Crisp packet on the pitch klaxon, are they trying to hoodwink Amad to think he’s back at the SoS playing plodders ?
  14. πŸ‘πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ three nowt to a very ordinary looking Bournemouth
  15. Even when he got the ball he didn’t drive on, he basically walked for 3-4 yards before showing any intent. They really have lost it, must be well into the players heads by now and opposing teams won’t be going into games thinking they’re half beaten before they start.
  16. Good teams do that. We had so many players off the pace early season it was ridiculous, Gordon, Isak and Bruno looked nothing like themselves.
  17. His "purple patch" last season made him the top chance creator in our whole team (those playing over 1200 mins) Pacey RCB remains #1 priority. RW #2
