Not convinced that Ameobi can develop a partnership with anyone sadly.
-
He was very good at home games last season, after Souness left. One of our highest scorers. Strangely, seems past it now.
-
Ramage.
-
3/3 penalties converted = 100% record. What a player.
-
Depends on whether we get a new right-winger after Milner sings for Villa and Dyer retires.
-
Roeder out tbh.
-
Paul Robinson? Carlos Edwards was pretty good in the World Cup actually. Better than Carr tbh.
-
Nothing to do with Roeder though, it's the players.
-
So there's absolutely no reason for him to be unfaithful and dishonest then. I'm confident he can't wait to get back playing again tbh.
-
Upson would definitely be an improvement to what we've got tbh, but he's probably staying loyal to Birmingham, as they should go up next year, plus I think he signed a new contract with them this year.
-
Has an eye for talent, that Roeder bloke.

Hargreaves is better than Parker, at least in the holding role. I doubt anyone would say Parker is better, if they weren't a Newcastle fan.
-
I've thought this for a while. For England he seems to be the player most likely who can produce things out of nothing. Lampard will find some form eventually, but creaitvity has never been part of his game, so it's strange why he is considered a player suitable for behind the strikers. Joe Cole would fit this role best easily.
-
Good prediction, but Parker isn't a useless twat surely? Just overpaid - simply because he is a footballer.
-
Interesting how golden boy Shevchenko hasn't been labelled a diver, for at least one of those "fouls". Scotland were very poor though. Miller fluffed a superb chance also.
-
Relax. He'll be back to his unstoppable, flawless self, which he's shown in several hundred appearances for the Toon.
-
I'd play Richardson ahead of Downing, but certainly not in the centre. Playing Beckham and Parker in the middle would be silly, as they are two players with almost none experience in that position for England, and none together. I would keep Lampard playing, now that Gerrard is suspended - he's still a very good player. You must be if you score 20 goals a season from midfield. And no, Chelsea's performances this calendar year have proved they aren't lightyears ahead of everyone else, so you can't give the old "my nan could score 20 goals a season for Chelsea" argument.
-
Yeah I understand that, but why not bring in someone fresh like Nolan, who actually produces something productive every now and then. I agree with that, though it may just be that Jenas has international experience (limited however), and is versatile (apparently) and probably also just a traditional midfielder, and the England managers haven't felt at risk at selecting him, for some reason. To be honest, it puzzles me a lot.
-
Jenas is only ever selected as cover. He has come off the bench twice in the last 20 or so internationals, and has been in the squad for all of them.
-
Denmark 0-0 Northern Ireland I'll add how I'm quarter Scottish and Northern Irish.

Three great goals, and the goalkeeper Jones having a nightmare on his fiftieth cap.
-
You seem disappointed.

Wales 1-3 Slovakia.

That Luque kid really does looks like one for the future. Also, is Finnigan ever going to get a chance in first team, or will he become too old too soon and join a weaker club?
