  1. I'm relieved to have a couple more bodies on board tbf.
  2. He must have signed an obscene contract. What happened to Chelsea?
  3. That's the thing, as somebody said earlier in the thread, it was about 3 am when the Nobby deal came out. I'm off to kip and hope for a pleasant surprise in the morning... Doubt the missus will oblige like!!
  4. Fucking hell man, these have been texted in by Joe Public - there's nowt to suggest there's anything in them I'm feeding on scraps here man, don't ruin the tension!!!
  5. Kilgannon and now Barnes... Wise is sticking pins in a Panini album!!!
  6. Younguns.....stop writing in fucking text, in the unlikely event you even fuckin took your GCSE's can you not remember reading Shakespeare. Stop writing in text. Well tbh its lazyness...iv 8 GCSE's 2 A-Levels A foundation degree and 1st diploma so its not the case of being unable to type a grammatically correct post. I just hadnt realised i was being assessed and scrutinised on my spelling, punctuation, grammer and articulacy? I shall knuckle down sir i promise! Qualifications aren't what they used to be!!
  7. Couldn't help thinking the same.. Differnce is that ManU were willing to match what we offered, not sure they'll be willing to match this reported ridculoudly large bid.
  8. That would be a WOW signing. Can't see it like in anticipation
  9. Its the official site mate, its tripe. £8.5million apparently.. Looks like a lot of wedge for a full back. £500,000 more than Anton Ferdinand and infinitely better. Think Spurs have done very well there tbh. To be fair I think that's more to do with the mackems paying circa £ 6million too much for Ferdinand...
  10. I agree. Smith especially useful given his versitility. And let's be honest none of our strikers have a faultless injury record. Depends on what happens over the next 12 hours and 46 mins like.. Aye he's equally as shite in all positions. I'm not suggesting otherwise, but unless KK pulls in some serious business today we are very short on numbers. An injury to Butt/Guthrie/Owen and we are scoobied. As I say though it all depends on what happens between now and midnight!

  14. Agree with Cacapa, but Rozenthal looked dodgy from day one.. Boumsong had a lot of admirers early doors too. Hands up all those who shouted BOOOM everytime the ball came close to him, now hang your heads!! However Coloccini looks the part to me. Calm on the ball, seems to be in the right place at the right time, great apperance record. He's exactly what we needed.
  15. It appears to me the club don't want to give him any extra wedge and have released the statement to stoke up interest..
  16. http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Foo...ment-on-Milner/ The PFA has revealed that James Milner was on the brink of a move to Aston Villa two years ago and that the Newcastle winger’s recent transfer request stems from a feeling that he is deserving of an improved contract. Milner’s wish to leave St James’ Park was made public on Wednesday, although PFA deputy chief executive Mick McGuire has since let it be known that the request was made a week earlier on August 20. Newcastle released a statement insisting that they are yet to receive an offer for Milner - who has repeatedly been linked with a move to Villa during the current transfer window – that matches their valuation. "The PFA, who represent James Milner, are disappointed that information regarding James' request for a move, and the circumstances surrounding it, have come to the public's attention, and we feel we have no option but to respond,” said a statement released by McGuire. "The facts are that James' transfer request was actually handed in on Wednesday August 20, at which point it was asked by Newcastle United to keep the matter private. "The request was given because the player was looking for an improvement on his contract that reflected his development and his value to the club. There is a meeting between the owner and all relevant people at the club today [Wednesday] when we believed James' request was to be discussed. "To clarify the situation, James did sign a contract 12 months ago. However this agreement was reached with the club nearly 12 months previous at the point in which Newcastle had agreed to sell James to Aston Villa on transfer deadline day 2006 before canceling the agreement at the 11th hour. "Since then he has played over 80 games for Newcastle United. All James wanted was a deal that reflected his development and that was in line with Newcastle United's transfer valuation of him."
  17. Whilst I would not be averse to 10million for someone who rarely scores and rarely delivers a killer ball and IMO is too slow, the timing is awful. It isn't helped by the fact that anybody who actually might have the ability to buy a player for the club is holed up in a meeting in London. Which effectively leaves three working days of the window (assuming most players will be playing over the weekend).
  18. Hmmmm, personally think he gets a very bad press BUT he's no better than what we've got IMO
  19. RESURRECTED http://www.itfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...1372627,00.html
  20. All the best celebrations get yellow cards
  21. Has it fallen apart from under use? Nah, UEFA changed the rules after he used it. That's right isn't it? Or did i dream it? It is a yellow card if he pulls it on. Same law applies to pulling shirt over head or having a slogan. Having said that he's unlikely to be suspended with his ratio...
