For me Parker doesn't release the ball quickly enough. I think the majority see that he wins the ball well, and doesn't lose it in possession. BUT as a consequence while he is turning (and sometimes turning again) to get out of trouble and maintain possession, the oppositions defenders are recovering their positions and the chance of exploiting space is gone.

And to be fair to Supermac he was on a liquid diet when he made the comments about centre-partin. I agree with Renton though. Parker last season slowed us down, he always wanted a touch too many. Argentine striker Carlos Tevez admits that he holds suitors Chelsea in high esteem. The hit-man currently plays for Corinthians in Brazil whom he joined some 18 months ago from Boca Juniors in his homeland.
