Newcastle stars Michael Owen and Joey Barton warned about pay cuts
Matt replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Massive load of bollocks about corporate box prices and so on, typically blinkered envious view. Awful lot of those boxes are owned by people who have drilled significant amounts of money into NUFC over the years- just because the people who pay for them have had the temerity to work hard and run a successful business doesn't mean they should be treated as some sort of Victorian workhouse-owner pariah. They could always take people to the races instead, I guess. -

Not exactly the sort of reports to get the pulses racing. Some wages may be overinflated, but the idea of starting the season having got shot of Owen and Martins and not properly replaced them is not a pretty prospect. Yes, they are overpaid- but the alternative is worse surely? -
I was always under the impression that it was St James Park and is in fact regularly mispronounced and not misspelt.

Is it definitely your HD or just your OS going through the death throes? If it is then get a Linux distribution on a live CD- you can boot from the CD and transfer your files to a new HD or removable media. PCLinuxOS is good for this as it has native USB support and is relatively user-friendly for people used to Windows.

If you count all travel, probably about £900.

Hopefully not- if the new board have any idea of how to run a business, anyway.

Joe Hart would be one I'd be after. -
SJH ran NUFC until the day Ashley's deal was closed out. All the sackings and hirings were done with his approval. I know for one that sacking Robson was a Wynyard call.
-
Grew in Nunthorpe though, did he not?

'Neutral' Rod Liddle wouldn't still be smarting from Ronaldo's phenomenal cheating against Boro a season or two back would he? Maybe he expects the reader to automatically factor in his Boro-love but those who had the good fortune to only stumble upon his column today may have been left thinking the man is merely a bitter hack rather than a bitter, miserable, grudge-laden one.
-
Well, you know what's he's like- takes blowing hot and cold to the extremes. I was thinking more players like Gildea or McCabe.

Amdy Faye. 50 cent.

Your comments simply make it sounds as though as though non-league sides are filled with players who have no natural ability and just kick people. Now if you think that's the case then fair enough, but with a pretty decent knowledge of the current Blyth squad, I'd completely disagree with your assessment. I've seen enough half decent academy players drop off the radar entirely once they stop training full time to make me realise what a challenge it is to compete at a moderate level of the game (such as the CN) while at the same time holding down a full time job (I guess for those who also coach it's a little easier).
-
I used to always enjoy watching the reserves in the NSC, strutting around like kings of the manor, then turning up a few years later to see the same faces out there for the non-league side.

"Cloggers" is the sort of description I'd expect to hear from someone who's never seen a game outside the Premier League.

So, we've got rid of foreigners and those south of the Tyne. All that's left is to rule out those west of Throckley, west of Byker and north of Gosforth and you're all set. west of Byker is the City Centre you idiot. Quite obviously a typo. Easily done when laughing heartily.

Kings Cross is a pretty crappy area. Once stayed with a mate who lived there on Pentonville Rd at the time- awful.

It's good to know that people are happy to assume the Daily Mail have inside track on our contract dealings. You don't think, perhaps, agents might use little stories like this to put about their asking price, do you? Just maybe? Wages are frequently over-exaggerated in the press, makes for a better story.

Nah, that's Andy Cole.

MicroKorg has a vocorder though!!!!!!!! Got a Novation KS-5 and a Waldorf Pulse, though I have little idea of how to program the latter. Oh, and a massive heavy Soviet-era synth with a broken Middle C.
