  1. One of the new men, presumably- http://www.freshfields.com/pf2/Profile.asp...p;languageID=11
  2. Maybe, but given the timing of the two transactions, it looks as though someone has shifted 250,000 shares onto a third party who has lumped them with a handful of others to sell to SJHL. 09:36:38 26-Jun-2007 101.00 253,896 256,434.96 Ordinary Trade 09:35:52 26-Jun-2007 101.00 250,000 252,500.00 Market Maker to Market Maker including through IDB Impossible to tell one way or the other really.
  3. Yep, effectively he needed 3.4% from that point to gain control as beyond 90%+1 the remaining shares are as good as his. That equates to around 4.5m shares. 500,000 have gone through this morning, though they may not all be to SJHL.
  4. Why do the women's team act the victims? Do they expect to be subsidised and have their wages paid when their activities barely merit it? If they care so much, maybe they should play for free.
  5. You won't be able to sell shares via LSE. Shares could still be sold privately.
  6. I agree with your point. But do fans still feel as they are part of the game, or merely observing from a distance?
  7. If the Premiership keeps going the way it is the role of matchgoing fans will be reduced to a virtual irrelevance.

    Claim to fame

By 'rabbit', you mean a pet that lives in a hutch, right?
  9. I saw Tuncay play for Turkey U21s at St James years back and he was head and shoulders above every player on the park. Not only was he quick with his feet but he could hold his own physically. Hard to tell how he has progressed since as the Turkish league receives so little coverage over here, but I think he would be a worthwhile addition on a free.
  10. Good work by Sky last night-

    Mood

I'm a right stroppy bastard. Usually helps if I go for a walk or up to the gym for an hour. Generally I find it comes about when I'm not doing anything productive- either lazing about or when I'm working on shit like documentation rather than product design or programming. Drinking also helps.
  12. Will be interesting to see if tales in the local press are reflected in the financials on monday. Given that it's in an edition which is nearly entirely pre-prepared it does leave me wondering where these stories are coming from.
  13. A protracted battle would prove to be a disaster for the club, we can't afford to mess up this pre-season.
  14. I think we'll see quite a few squad players arriving on frees, 3-4 at least.
  15. My thoughts exactly. What if it's the sort with just blurkes?
  16. Try re-installing your browser. Otherwise you might want to try a program called Hijack This! which monitors changes to configurations that may have been caused by malicious code.
  17. Mate of mine works there, says the there's always plenty of craic.
  18. Good thinking to see the Pope. If anyone should know about a peadophile cover-up......
  19. We've always gone halfers with one lot and re-fenced the whole side with something that doesn't blow down half a year. Same with the bloke behind, he actually came round and offered to pay some when we put some new panels in. The other lot are miserable gets and say it's ours to fix. Twats.
  20. I'd bin the licence because it's an outdated way of funding. No way would I advocate the privatisation of the BBC though.
  21. The easiest way to revise is to learn the stuff in the first place.
  22. Spillers' Wharf was a shambles. You could barely hear most bands and to add to the effect, half the PA dropped out halfway through Maximo Park's set. Really nothing to write home about except the nagging thought- just how many bands are out there that look and sound the same as today's strumtastic effort 'The Enemy'?
  23. On a similar theme, culinary idea for Cath... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_zpdyBz3VM...ted&search=

    House Prices

I'm certainly unable to buy anywhere with just my salary without more or less condemning myself to poverty. I'm wondering if I even want to bother at all. My gripe is that the housing market is a self-fulfulling prophecy. It seems to have reached the stage where it becomes the be-all and end-all for many people and are prepared to make all sorts of sacrifices just to 'get on the ladder'. It's madness. The climate now is that you have to get on the ladder with all you can afford even if it's a shit stack in the Bronx. Funny how it's always mortgage lenders and estate agents who put out these forecasts.
